Does anybody know what the picture above is all about? At first I thought it was off camera - "Daisies," but the haircut is wrong for "Daisies."

All one can do is guess~

The hair looks a bit like the "bubble" hair cut from 1958ish and it looks like Doris might be in a store that sell fabrics. The man appears to be looking through one of those fabric sample books. Doris had been wearing sunglasses (in hand) so she came in from outside - probably not on a movie set.

Maybe she was having something reupholstered for the Beverly house.

Lauren- great minds...- I'd say 1958 too- around about the time of Tunnel of Love- at first I thought it was maybe a conference with a costume designer? However, as stated, it could really be anyone - unless someone can throw more light on it.

Really like that pic= thanks for posting.

I'm usually quite good as guessing the year= clothes,hair etc, however bit confused by this one!

Could it be towards end of Lucky Me- before the short hair of Young at Heart?

Could it be late 50s when hair was growing - from Tunnel of Love - to PT time?

Could it be early 60s when hair growing again - from short cut of Lover come back to longer hair of Touch of Mink?

Really have to study this!

I believe that this is Doris. Everything about her face looks like Doris. There was another photo that apparently turned out to be Woodward, however. I'd have to have literal proof that this is J.W. to believe it.

Looking forward to the release of Doris's new CD with all of her great songs - also the DVD - how nice for her birthday. Thanks for posting all the great photos of Doris - I especially like the one of Doris with Terry and her grandson, Ryan Melcher. Now he is almost 28 and looks so much like Terry. What a great family photo!

The Terry O'Neill photos are actually from 1986 which is the year they ran in Life Magazine (a special edition) and on the cover of Parade Magazine.
