Hi
It's great to be on here, thanx for the welcome.
Like I said I have always loved Doris Day!
I am getting married for the 2nd and last time lol
I have looked at hundreds of dresses trying to find one that's not too traditional or fancy for a woman who's in her late 40's, also one that's not too boring or casual either.
Finally, I went into a tiny shop where I live and it didn't take me long to find the WOW dress, for me it has Doris Day all over it, I wish I could show you, if I can I will post a pic on here and you can tell me what you think.
But, for now here is a description:
Length 1/2 way down my calf, strapless or they can add shoestring straps, cream satin dress with a taffeta underlay which has about 1/2 an inch showing at the bottom and white lace over the top with sequins mainly on the top but also on the lace and a cream satin bow at the top of the bodice.
I hope you're getting the picture?!?
The strapless part just above the bow which is covered with lace and sequins has like a v shape opening which has like a cream satin lining.
What do you think so far?
My youngest Daughter doesn't like it, but she is only 24 and would have liked me to have a more traditional dress.
Now I have to find the right hairstyle and shoes!!! HELP!!!
It is so nice to have someone to share this with.
As Doris Day fans I'm sure you will understand my feelings
