And I haven't been able to play the Pillow Talk BlueRay I was sent so far!

Hope this helps Ray (and others) regarding what blue ray players/discs are. Whether it's worth buying another dvd if you already own one, thats up to you, I am going to get it, it's the direction all releases will be in eventually.

Just keep in mind that a blue ray disc cannot be played on a regular dvd player, but you can play a regular or hd/dvd on a blue ray player, forgot to mention that, so unless you have a blue ray player, this latest release will be unplayable, but like I said, it's the future, and when you go to replace your players, they will be blue rays. for the viewer, it means a much better picture quality.

Regarding Ray's questions about BLU RAY players, I got one last year when I replaced my old television with a new flat screen HD Smart TV. The store basically "gave" (ha, ha) me the BLU RAY player as part of the overall home entertainment system I was buying. I have to say the visual clarity on BLU RAY is quite impressive. It's the closest thing to a movie theater in terms of picture clarity. But is it worth it to buy one out of pocket? I'm not so sure. If the trend continues toward digital downloading movies off the Internet, then you may not get enough bang for your buck with a BLU RAY player. I find myself using my DVR a lot more and used that to watch all of Doris' films on TCM last month in HD. As with all things technical, it becomes increasingly complex over time and you really have to think about what is practical for you. We can all overload ourselves with gadgets that start to manage us instead of us managing them. Sometimes less is more. Just my two cents.

Blue ray refers to a very high density optical disk, that uses a blue laser (high frequency). This is the only
way to use the immensely large video files for video generation- because the Internet for most people is
just too slow to handle such files, hence the market.

Doris has said that she would have worked for free, to make her movies since they were so much fun to make. I would bet if she could have she would have paid them, and would have included some pets for scenery in the shots - but you could take this sort of thing too far.

That is strecthing it a bit too far. Show Business is about making money and Doris is no fool with money. Imagine making tons of money and having fun too!!! Doris was very lucky and she knows it. Maybe it is not luck but she toiled for years singing hopeing for that big break like everyone else and it happened!

The banner picture looks like Doris making all those phone interviews for My heart. She is back on the cover of a tabloid this week with a photo from the fifties and a nice upbeat story for a change, telling of her happy life out of the limelight.

Its the National Examiner and they say she is very happy and content and made a quiet comeback with not much fanfare for the tribute music to Terry. Really a very positive article for that kind of low rated paper. Same photos and when i saw the headline at the supermarket which said Doris Day's secret life I was prepared for anything but was surprised by it. They really can't say anyhting negative about Dori's life anyway, Thought the tabloids would be calmouring to get a recent picture of Doris. Glad they are not being obnoxious as they can be.
