This is a must read book and very well written. You will come away with a greater knowledge of this wonderful lady and especially all of her music and her movies. I think Mike knows more about Doris music than even Doris. He knows about every song that she has ever recorded and the year it was recorded and how it rated on the charts. Mike takes you back through the years when he first met Doris as a young boy of eight, when Doris was singing with Les Brown's band and what happen that wonderful night when he first got to meet her and how that started his life long love affair with this beautiful lady "Doris Day". And it is still on going to this day.
As you get into this book you not only learn a lot about Doris but feel you really become to know the man Mike DeVita also. Mike will take you on a beautiful journey and you feel his deep love and respect for this wonderful lady with every page you turn.
Thank you Mike I enjoyed it very much.

It is a mystery to me Mike,Doris is so loved in the UK.Hope DD-fans will get anxious about the story,after all,it is a secret love revealed!!!(oh and does a lot of justice to their country by the way!)

I'm half way through Mike's book and I just love it. I will write a full review when I'm finished. I would highly recommend this book for any young Day fan or someone of any age who missed the highlight of Doris' singing career from the 1940s until the 1960s. In a writing style that is concise and sometimes whimsical, Mike details Doris' recording career such that you can almost hear her singing at the microphone.

It's a must in your Doris Day library no matter who you are.
