The Les Brown Years – Non-Commercial Recordings (1940-1946)

Besides the recordings of Les Brown and his Band of Renown and Doris Day available through the Okeh and Columbia labels, there exists a wealth of recorded treasures from radio broadcasts, 16″ radio transcriptions, 10″ V-Discs, and Air Checks. Most of these recordings were produced by World Program Service (WPS). There are also live radio broadcasts and One Night Stands and Spotlight Bands broadcast by the Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS).
