Funnier script than Pillow Talk.

The theme song is haunting!

I saw 'Midnight Lace" at Radio City Music Hal in NYC. I recall hearing comments from some viewers who were very pleasantly surprised at DD's fine emoting. I was thrilled to hear it.

I've always felt the same about the opening scene. It was a master class, indeed - worthy of Chaplin.

I loved It Happened to Jane. DD was so natural, I felt like I had just spent time with Doris, and not Jane.

Thanks, Johnny.

Thanks, Johnny. Really enjoyed her match-up with Macrae. They had good chemistry, I thought.

Thanks, Johnny!

Thanks, Johnny. I was wondering about that

But even if he would casually write songs with Marianne Faithfull or even Frank Sinatra in mind, he felt that Doris Day was virtually untouchable in her field, saying, “I had the privilege of hanging out with her on a few occasions. She had a heart of gold and was a very funny lady who I shared many...

You can add Betty Hutton to that list. Her series was also a flop.

I love Doris in ALMOST anything. But DND was not worthy of her!

Is there a Doris Day story on tap??

I agree, Johnny. It's a good film - something the entire family can enjoy together. I've always felt that the "Jane" character is very much like Doris herself- the real - rather than the reel.

Thanks, Johnny. It's one of my favorite DD films.

I heard from a reliable source that Doris knew that CBS-TV was a part of her future. She just didn't think it would happen at that time. She thought it was far off in the future.

The soundtrack is outstanding. Harry James and Doris Day ... two musical greats!

It sure is! Watched it once again on TCM (Turner Classic Movies). It delighted me, as always. Doris really looked gorgeous in this fine film.

Thank you, Johnny.

Same to you and all of us Dayniacs!

Our Doris is not in Saga of Death Valley, nor is she in Federal Fugitive. Briefly, before Dodo became a film star, there was another Doris Day in films.

DND was not a favorite ... by far! For me, the only redeeming factor was Doris wowing us in that beautiful orange gown!

Move Over, Darling, no matter how many times I've seen it, never fails to make me laugh. I love the scene where Doris takes Wally Cox to meet Garner. DD's expressions in that scene are priceless.

I Couldn’t agree more. The dialogue was sharp. The performances were terrific. Doris and James Garner had terrific chemistry. It’s just the very end I’m not crazy about. But All in all, It’s very entertaing.

Very interesting. Thanks for all your research.
