Water for Elephant Jumbo - new utube clip
Hello All I made a new clip of Jumbo combining water for Elephants' theme song. It struck me when I saw the trailer of Water for Elephants how many scenes were identical to Jumbo scenes! Has anybody else noticed? Unfortunately I couldn't get the exact same scenes for my clip. But I did my best. Hope...

I was so thrilled to hear about this! I have seen almost all her movies so many times but to watch them on the silver screen must be so awesome! Is anybody going? I've booked my ticket for Pillow Talk!! Can't wait!!

I found this link regarding the play : http://www.playbillvault.com/Show/Detai ... fect-Setup
thank you for the info. I didn't know he had produced a play. I wonder if it became successful maybe he would have convinced Doris to go on stage. That would have been wonderful!

Thank you, Bryan for uploading my pictures. I love how you have made the boarder to this one. It made it quite classy :) Mike I made this one just for you...thank you for suggesting my picture to Bryan. I haven't read your book yet, but I will soon. I chose this picture thinking that she would have ...

Re: Hope someone can help
Hi Skyrider, Your description kind of reminds me a scene from "The ballad of Josie" she wasn't waiting for her husband though but her only male ally. I couldn't find a clip of that specific scene but here is a cute one. Maybe you will recognize her style in this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j...

Re: Lover Come Back
As I was watching LCB the other day, I noticed the woman in the elevator as Rock exits (first scene of workplace) and said to myself...that seems like an outfit Doris would wear and I paused the movie. Then I had a good look at the lady ...and to me it really looks like Doris Day!!! Something about ...

Re: Doris Day/Taylor Swift Comparison
Taylor Swift seems like a lovely person and compared to what's out there...she does have quality in her singing and her attitude. However, the extraordinary multi-talented Doris Day is unique and Taylor Swift must be very honored that such article was written about her; she has been compared with th...

I agree with you Dorine. Not a classy film, but it had it's moments. I particularly loved the comment about "the freckle remover".

Re: Caprice
Thank you webmaster, Bryan, for posting the reviews. I had never read them before. I found them quite harsh. I recently saw CAPRICE for the first time, and truthfully, I had prepared my eyes to see something bad. I was surprised, I actually enjoyed it. For what it was, a spy farce, it was good. Some...

Re: Dancer Gene Nelson
I absolutely adore Gene Nelson's dancing. I somewhere read his idol was Fred Astaire. His posture, his hands really show it, too. I particularly love "Lullaby of Broadway", that final scene is a true gem. Doris Day and Gene Nelson were such an extraordinary dancing couple. Other than the standard we...

Nice one, JC. :) RE: "We are truly unlucky..no TCM no nothing! It's a real shame." Christie, don't you have cable or satellite where you live? I've got cable, that's the only way I can see TCM, etc. We do have cable...only 1 cable company called Nova (talk about monopoly!). It offers some internati...

Re: Ms. Doris for the first time
It seems that you have the same problem in Greece: The truly good movies are shown at an inhumane time! So my discovery of Doris was about 2 o' clock in the morning. Unforunately they show only a few of these great old movies on TV here. Yep...you are correct! My discovery was 4 o'clock in the morn...

Re: Ms. Doris for the first time
Hi Hana! My story is pretty similar to Christie's. Hello Lisa, how bizarre!!! I got to see the first 15 minutes...the commercials went on and I, unfortunately, fell asleep!!! It took me a year to find which movie I had seen!! I guess, "Pillow Talk" is a European thing! I see you are from Germany, I...

Hello Hana, You have started a great topic. :D It is very interesting to know how people got to know Ms Day. I'm a new fan. I was 21 when I first laid eyes on "Pillow Talk". It was on tv one night and as I was switching channels, I instantly got hooked. To my eyes, this gorgeous goddess of a woman w...

Yes, you could be right - maybe they were making a Sandra Dee movie on the same lot and the hairdressers went to the wrong production? :) PS You show images with the Img tag, not URL. http://www.boxofficeprophets.com/hyde/images/Feb05/glassbottom.jpg Whoops...thanks. I loved the Julie banners of the forum. I think that if the movie had been in color it might of had a bigger success in the box office. We would have been able to enjoy that marvelous landscape and those sparkling eyes of Ms. Day.

I'm as baffled as you are! For me the show only lasted 45 minutes and I got to hear the very beginning and the end. It's over now
