Re: YOUR THE PRODUCER
I always said I would have loved to see her in South Pacific. I wish she would have at least recorded the sound track. I always wanted her to do a movie Bing Crosby. I thought High Society because Frank Sinatra was also in it, but they would have to change the part and the script for her. Two for th...

Re: US Elections - who's going to be the next President?
I'm sorry I misquoted you John, it was accidental. Ellenarden, I admit that saying that the president can declare war without anyone's permission was not a good example of the president's power. However the fact remains that US presidents on over 125 occasions, have declared war without prior expres...

Re: US Elections - who's going to be the next President?
You are absolutely right, Ellen Arden, if two thirds majority of congress disagree with the president's veto they can override it. But it is not as easy as it sounds. First of all, congress members have to be present to over turn a veto. And remember, congress is made up of many political parties. T...

I'm sorry you misunderstood me Ellen Arden. Yes, the first paragraph was directed at your comment, but the rest of it was just a general comment i made.

Re: US Elections - who's going to be the next President?
Ellen Arden, I was so surprised when that you would refer to our president as a figurehead. It's true congress is important, but the president has the ultimate power - he can declare war on another country, and he doesn't have to ask anyone's permission. He also can veto any bill that congress tries...

Re: Romance on the High Seas
I do love this film, but always thought that doris and jack were an unlikely pair. Strangely enough they dated quite seriously there for awhile too. They just dont seem to fit, she bright and beautiful and he an average looker and somewhat down hearted type fellow, I guess opposites do attract. May...

Brian Keith is usually, but he does have great chemistry with Doris. Doris brings out the best in most people.

Re: WHERE ARE YOU, NOW THAT I NEED YOU
It seems like when school starts up and people are back in college, there is less conversation. (Although I think most of the people here are older than that).

Hi Domi,
I'm glad to welcome a fellow animal lover and Doris Day fan!
Megan you are so funny. I have a friend from Germany and she speaks German, English, and French. She says they learn English when they are very young- it is like a second language to them. It makes me feel really stupid.

Jewison donates Archives to U of Toronto, however...
Did anyone else read this ? Jewison is donating his shooting scripts, production notes, letters, and 1600 photos to the University of Toronto, However the papers from the first part of his career are in the U of Wisconsin, including correspondence with Doris Day. We don't know anyone who lives near M...
