Re: It will soon be Christmas..
How beautiful, and your right Doris and Christmas go together so well. She just has that persona that can instantly make a bad day good. She has cheered me up on plenty of days when things weren't going right, just by putting in a CD or watching one of her movies.

I agree John M, granted loving the music, people calling in with their birthday wishes to our dear Doris, but why didn't he let her talk the jerk.

Re: DORIS...BACK IN THE PICTURE.....FINALLY!
Even if she didn't have a phobia of flying I highly doubt she would attend. She hasn't done a live (video) interview since the mid 90s i believe or made an actual public appearance since about that time.

Re: Warner Bros. Announces NEW Doris Boxset of Films
Both happy about this release and a bit annoyed. An overpriced digipack. Why has Warner Brothers gone to digipacks for their movie collection dvd releases guess they are just CHEAP! I am not sure about you guys, but i like the movie collections with the move in actual case, dvd artwork etc. Not in s...

My dad is related to Benjam Franklin, and to a certain figure in British History Sir Thomas Culpepper who was beheaded by Henry the VIIIth for having an affair with Anne Bolynn.

This was bad news had seen a couple recent photos of her and she looked quite ill/frail. I am sure that she is delighted to be reunited with her soulmate Ernie Kovacs.

One of the few moments from the film that i actually enjoyed. THat song and the song during the opening. Granted was an interesting film, but just didn't do much for me. Have never really been a huge fan of Widmark.

hi
I personally think that Angela Lansbury was inspired in her role as Jessica Fletcher. Doris probably would have done well in the role also but I'm sure that she had her reasons for not doing the show. And anyways at that time she was extremely busy with her animal rights stuff etc. She was a wonderf...

I also loved Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched. Truly a great show, she was great as Samantha, and Agnes Moorehead was dynamite as her mom endora, and Dick York was my favorite Darren. Dick Sargent just didn't do much for me. I thought it was so sad how after the show went off the air, Elizabeth Mon...

I also never cared for April In Paris, too much. Doris and Ray just had no chemistry. Granted though the dancing was fun, and there were some good songs. And the unforgettable # "That's What Makes Paris Paree" was truly classic. Shame that Gordon MacRae didn't portray Ray Bolgers role, now that woul...

Hi
I thought that that Love Me Or Leave Me was supern truly one of the best doris day movies ever produced. The songs were so beautiful, and I thought that she and James Cagney really worked well with each other. I rejoiced when it came out on dvd in April of last year. Such a beautiful touching film, ...
