DORIS DAY The untold story of the girl next door

I agree Lloyd that a book like that would be great. But I don't agree with you about the weather. When you go into spring we go into autumn and am not looking forward to it. At the moment it is about 32c (about 90f where you come from) and just great beach weather.

favourite films

Of the films I have seen The Pyjama Game and Glass Bottom Boat are my favourites. Unfortunately here in Australia, Move over Darling, The Thrill of it All and Do Not Disturb are still not available on DVD - maybe one DAY!!!!!!!

Yes Sheila they are cute and yes Bryan they are well not too scary but very unpredictable. This little one came over to the fence to see what I was doing. Some of them are tame but we try and not get too close to them especially when we are walking our dog. Lyn :) http://i19.tinypic.com/851ouvm.jpg

I know that a lot of tourists coming to Australia think that we have kangaroos hopping down the main streets - well where we live we do just that. These came past the other day for a bite to eat.

The Thrill of it All

Excellent movie. Just saw it for the first time. There is a lot of chemistry between Doris and James (Jim). She always looks lovely and I am a big fan of James Garner. The kids were great too

Young at Heart

We just had a Doris and her men week on our cable tv and the first movie was Young at Heart. I had not seen it before (maybe a very long time ago but don't remember it). I enjoyed it but am not a big fan of Frank in his early days. Doris was great as was Elisabeth Fraser. I rated it good. And thanks...

The Man Who Knew Too Much

I bought this dvd on Ebay and it arrived today so as I had the house to myself for a couple of hours I sat and watched it. The last time I saw it was about fifteen years ago. I thought that Doris and Jimmy Stewart were great together and the suspense of the film had me sitting there until the finish...

The Thrill Of It All

I have to agree with Miss Maxwell that Doris and James Garner were great together. Even though I have not seen The Thrill Of It All, (Iam still trying to buy it on DVD) I just loved Move Over Darling. And thanks to everyone who posted photos of TTOIA especially those great ones of James Garner

Hilarious You Tube Video

Living in Australia, Carmel seems so far away so it was
great to see not only where Doris lives but to hear her voice
on the intercom. Just loved it!!!
