Re: New set of outtakes from DD's first tv spec.

Thank you Howard for posting the video outakes. What a great find. The quality of the video and audio is outstanding. I noted that Michael McKenna was also instrumental in the posting. I strongly suspect that Michael McKenna has a soft spot for Miss Day, as evident from this video discovery and prio...

Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2018

Great production Bryan. You captured the feel of the period with the sepia tones, the running lines on the film, the camera movements to give the images life, and especially the song bringing eveything together. I am sure it will get a lot of play now. Thanks for posting and Happy Days, Texas Gonzalo

Peter, thanks for posting your latest find. The Doris Day Show was among the last of the series and was indeed short (15 minutes) with no guest stars. This data is now part of The DDD Discography. Thanks again and Happy Days, Texas Gonzalo

I will correct the numberin...

Hi Peter, Thank your for posting the 31 January 1950 Bob Hope Swan Show. The two songs are new versions of Doris Day songs. You will note the comment that Doris and Bob sang "Tea for Two" in the prior week's show. Perhaps that will be your next great find. Keep those rare Doris Day songs coming. The...

Hi Peter, the SPERDVAC site you wrote about has quite a library of old radio shows. Besides the two you mentioned, there are two more Jack Kirkwood Shows (#115-2 and 2991-2.) The first one dates back to 8 July 1946 and the second to 12 October 1946. The 115-2 is a 30 minute show and the other one is...

Peter and Musiclover, thank you for your recent postings. I have now included the song "Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me" in the Definitive Doris Day Discography at the end of the 1944 timeline. The recording is very rough, but it is still a gem. When you listen to Peter's posting, give it a few sec...

Renie, I'll have to watch the three additional movies you mentioned to see if Doris smoked. I remember in LMOLM she did have a drink in front of her, but in Tea for Two, I doubt it. It is possible that Young Man might have a smoking scene. Thanks for the info, and Happy Days, Texas Gonzalo
