PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT?

I especially enjoy hearing DD sing with piano accompaniment. I have found one album she made with Andre Previn, which is excellent. But beyond that, I have only occasionallly found a song here and there on other albums. Does anyone know of other albums which have either all or mostly piano accompani...

Re: Seen any good (Doris Day) films recently?

Well, I've now re-watched 30 of DD's films. Just saw The Glass Bottom Boat and I'm still laughing. She is SO
good at comedy and those crazy plots. Renie

A Mystery

I found information on google which says that Neil Hamilton and Doris Day are in a 1941 movie called Federal Fugitives. I was referred to see the movie in full on YouTube. Since I was very curious, I watched the whole movie thinking maybe our Doris had a bit part and they were just using her name. W...

Re: Seen any good (Doris Day) films recently?

As a matter of fact, I have seen 23 good Doris Day films lately. I have 16 more to go. In honor of her 90th birthday, I decided to once again watch all of DD's films. My most favorite of the ones I've watched (again) so far is Lullaby of Broadway. I just love her dancing #1 and singing #2 in it. My ...

Re: Romance on the High Seas

Romance on the High Seas was not only the first movie DD made, but it was also the first of her movies that I saw. I was seven years old when it premiered. Needless to say, I didn't understand anything about the plot back then but I loved the music. My mother played piano and I remember that she got...

Re: Lullaby of Broadway

I absoloooooootely believe that Lullaby of Broadway is wonderful!!! The songs are GREAT and the BEST thing about it for me is the dancing by Doris. Every time I watch this movie, I can't help but think about how bleak things looked for her in terms of walking, let alone dancing, after that car/train...

Hi All

I'm a very new member of the forum and I'd like to introduce myself. I answer to Renie, my nickname since I was a small child. I was born and raised in Chicago but have lived the greater part of my life in Indianapolis. I remember hearing Doris sing on the radio and I was so taken with her voice. I ...
