Re: Love Me or Leave Me

The sound track was by far Doris' best in films and her rendition of these jazzy songs is top notch - NO ONE sings Love Me..; Mean to Me; Ten Cents a dance; You made me Love you' etc like Miss Day! Yeah - you might certainly be right on this one - but those "jazzy songs" are simply not my usual "ta...

Re: Love Me or Leave Me

I've watched it again the other day - really very good movie even though I must admit I'm not really a big fan of all the songs. I LOVE how she sings "it all depends on you" but the rest of the music just isn't my cup of tea. I'm trying really hard to get into that kind of music *right Marion?? :mrg...

hmm.... I probably shouldn't rank the movies either ....
except for THE GLASS BOTTOM BOAT which is and always will be my favorite and No.1 - no matter how many movies I haven't seen yet  The rest of them are just runner ups and really depend on my mood which one I like best that day :D

Mmmh... Good point! :D As I said yesterday, it was good that Marsha didn't die, as she was the only one with the courage to stand up. yeah - but she had to suffer as well - in the end her courage didn't get her anywhere ... she lost her "only relativ in the world" - wasn't that what that guy said e...

Well I think the ending made it even more shocking - how unnecessary it all was kind of. I don't know - I thought the ending was "good" not in terms that she died of course - I certainly didn't want her to die *but* somehow that made the message of the movie even clearer cause the nicest and most in...

KAHTARINE HEPBURN!!! She was a real intelligent, cool and classy person .. ALWAYS way ahead of her time in thinking and doing - and always stayed herself. If I'd believe in a person as a role model - it would be her. I would have a huge problem with the celebrity-stardom thing being chased and such ...
