Re: Storm Warning

very good movie - unfortunately I knew before that Doris was gonna die - otherwise it would have been even better to me I suppose. Doris works very well with Ginger Rogers - actually i've never seen the later to do such a serious movie without dancing :? . And Doris was good in her role ... surprisi...

Re: Do Not Disturb

I also like Rod Taylor in this - I like most of his movies too. They just fit well together - and I also understand how he's kinda fed up with his wife sometimes *lol* - but then who wouldn't want to live in a country house like that with Doris' animals all around - funny scene when she saves the fo...

Re: The Ballad of Josie

HEY I *just* finished watching this movie for the first time and I have to say I thought it was MUCH better than I thought it would be. I liked it very much! Wouldn't say its an excellent movie ... but I've seen a LOT worse of those westerns made during that period. I think Doris does a fine job (if...

Gotta *love* this movie - I rated it excellent. One of the first Doris movies I've seen. I adore her with the 4 boys (boy what a nightmare that must be having four sons that age :D ) - and gotta LOVE Hobo - imagine having a dog you have to carry in and out of elevators *lol* I also love her with Dav...

Re: Young Man With a Horn

Okay I just watched this today - well, I'm neither a big Kirk Douglas fan nor a big Lauren Bacall fan (she just always seems like an iceberg to me) - and there wasn't enough Doris in it but *overall* I think it was okay to watch. I really wondered why Kirk's character fell for Lauren's character - s...

You forgot Cary Grant ... I miss him, he was my favorite  Wow.. Lauren Bacall is still alive?? I didn't know that, I mostly just look up facts about Doris, not her costars... This list is very impressive and cool John, thanks! well Cary Grant died a long time ago - guess that's why he is not o...

That's not on my version, I think - Which one do you have? I don't know really :? Its a usually bought copy - its just a small little making of with Doris talking about the making of the film - and the NASA place they filmed it on - and then they show a little "behind the scenes" footage and how sh...

Re: What is your favorite romantic photo of Doris?

Yup, it is off-topic, but.. Louis Jourdan is still living.. as is Kirk Douglas (he and Lauren Bacall and Doris Day were ALL billed above the title in Young Man With a Horn, released 58 years ago now--and they're all still living; it must be a record of some kind). oh I didn't know Louis Jourdan is ...

I agree - everything has been said about this movie in here - still - gotta say I LOVE IT!!!! Someone posted early that it would have been fine for the talents of Marilyn Monroe but not of Doris Day. I don't agree - I can't see MM in this at all - I don't know - I kinda wouldn't have believed that r...
