Well you can certainly hold a note - pretty good seeing you had no accompanyment. What about getting some karaoke music? I did a search for karaoke + doris day and found this:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q= ... arch&meta=

You'll notice Que Sera, Sera and Secret Love seem available.

There is also a Doris Day karaoke CD for less than $10 here:
http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/mus ... is+Day.htm

Tip: It's better to stand when you are singing and you'll look better with a single spotlight with the camera pulled back slightly.

Way to go, Megan! :)

Folks~
Do you think that this discussion would be a better fit in Off Topics. This isn't exactly about Doris.

Megan, I was thinking the same thing that Bryan said about standing. Posture is very important when singing, and I bet you'll reach the highest note better! You do have a very good voice, and keep singing! Remember, I am a vocal coach! Do you have a good vocal coach where you live? Voice teachers/vocal coaches are very helpful for talented people like yourself. I always tell my students that only talented people should take lessons. People that don't have the gift of music and do not have the ear, it's a waste of time to study voice, but you DO have the talent, and I hope you find someone who will work with you to help you develop your talent. You're at a perfect age for this. Remember, Doris had voice lessons! :D
Keep singing, and keep on making the videos! :D

Thank you Lisa. I have a music teacher. I'm in Encore which is a showchoir, so I'm in there with 23 other students. Check your messages on here, I'm going to send you something I want you to look at.

Encore is great, but a private teacher would be good too, just to concentrate on just you alone.
I answered your email. Keep in touch! :D
