Thanks big sister - I know what you mean, but it was funny hearing two great women comedy stars talk together like that - although it was 'an interview' by Lucy, she sounded at times just like a fan, I remember reading she said "I like Doris Day" when asked who she admired. I think Lucy, like Doris, had a hard time behind the scenes with men and marriage although they both remained loyal and lifelong friends with the main men in their life, Desi and Marty. Lucy probably identified with Doris and they were both great comedians - and I must admit 'I Love Lucy' too!

I just did a search for pics of Doris & Lucy - I know we've had some published on here - but these are the main ones that came up - tabloid rubbish I know, but great pics!

What a joy! A bunch of interviews of Doris.

Michael Douglas is one of my favs of all time. I recall him being very funny and kind to his guests. In this interviw with Doris I was glad that Steve Allen was there, another of my all time favs, because for some reason Douglas seemed a bit taken aback during his interview of Doris.

Now maybe this is just me.

A stage full of people I love and respect, and of all people it seemed like Douglas wasn't at his best with Doris, though, Steve did pick up the slack and even put Doris in a more comfortable position as she laughed at some of Steve's jokes.

Steve Allen has always tickled my funny bone.

Some of the downloads showed as audio only, which is a shame, but still delightful. The video really were enjoyable, as Doris' expressions could be seen all over her and not just from her voice, which is dynamic in and of itself.

The Best Friends was audio only, though on the screen there seemed to be some indication that it is suppose to be a video, so there might be something wrong with the downloaded version I acquired.

Thank you very much for the delightful Doris interviews.

Just watched (once again! LOL), the episode of Doris on the Mike Douglas show--and found myself wondering (once again! LOL) why it is that I have a smile on my face every time I watch/listen to Doris...?

Doris truly IS like those "dolls with the round bottoms" that she talked about in this interview--the ones who keep bouncing back up when you knock them down. As she said, every dreadful thing that happened to her also brought something beautiful.

Doris, to Mike: "I have a good attitude--why not?" She is truly one who "practices what she preaches"--and it is evident in everything that she does.

And oh, when she sang "Sentimental Journey" at the end of the interview......just heavenly! :)

Hope you're all having a lovely "Day"!

God Bless,
Rachel

Oh yeah yeah yeah Doris singing impromptu, even though she said she didn't want to - I loved it so much. Michael was very good then. That's how I remember him and why I loved him as an interviewer so very much.

These interviews had such an impact on me that I thought about them all day long, enjoying them over and over again.

Thanks so very much for posting them.

Hi.

I would like to download the Doris Day Superstar documentary. Actually, I only need the audio, not the video. Could somebody possibly make me an MP3 of it?

Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Rob has anyone gotten back to you on your inquiries?

If it's the same folder(s) I tried to download, I had problems too. Can't remember what the solution was, but I believe it had to do with joining a certain place where the file is located. Now don't quote me, because I've had several questions about downloads on the forum, and I usually get a response eventually.

Not sure that many keep a watch on the forums of late.

This is a great place to see a lot of Doris Day items that I've never seen before, and some that I remember seeing long ago.

Keep asking. Might want to ask on other posts - you know include with other questions. Maybe someone watches the other posts more often.

Sorry about the delay in sorting this out. I'm just starting to do it now and will edit the previous posts to avoid confusion.

First thing to say is that the documentaries are large files so you'll need broadband or fast internet connection. When you go to the link you can see the file size (average or less for full video) and decide if you want to download.

As requested, Doris Day Superstar audio file:

Doris Day Superstar video file:

Doris Day's Sentimental Journey video file:

Doris Day's Sentimental Journey audio file:

Will sort out E-Hollywood True Story next - let me know if have any requests (not for films as these are widely available).

I've joined the 4 parts together and it's not too large a file compared to the others (231MBs).

It is I who thank you for everything Bryan! :D

I have a question? In this documentary film Doris Day - Virgin Territory (2005) after passage song "Secret Love" what is being said that Doris fell ill with something, because I do not understand exactly? We see at this point as Doris goes to the bathroom and very difficult breathing?
Please explain, thank you :D

I hope that someone will understand what I wrote?

Does anybody have the video for the The Tonight Show with McLean Stevenson? SOoo funny.

Also, does anybody know what he said about tabasco sauce? Something to do with Doris?

Thanks!

Hi Anita,

This is from a post I made in the Interviews & Documentaries section - it's an audio (mp3) and not video but I hope it's still useful.
Howard sent me a recording of Doris on The Tonight Show (26 Nov 1973) to share -
with McLean Stephenson.

Re-posted from member's section following a request for the Gloria Hunniford interview with Doris on Pebble Mill TV Show, UK 1n 1994:

Someone sent me both Doris Day Pebble Mill interviews recorded from TV so I've split it into 9 parts and uploaded to box net. Download all parts and extract to one video file from which you can make a DVD.

They are compressed .rar files. You can get the software to extract them for free here for anyone who doesn't have it:
