Doris Day, James Garner Globe story

Unread post by webmaster »

Someone sent me the Globe story about Doris helping the 'reportedly' (remember it's The Globe) very ill James Garner with weekly phone calls.

I have no idea how accurate this is - very sad if it's true - but at least they seem to be praising her this time.

That's a nice story Bryan, if James is so ill (I read elsewhere recently how ill he is) - then let's hope once in a while these tabloids get it right and Doris is in contact. I am sure if she is, it really is uplifting for James - a great man - isn't ageing a bitch!

Maverick: Oh, what the hell! I feel like being silly. I'll call... Uh...
[clearing his throat]
Maverick: It's just a pair of sixes. If you can beat that you got me licked, and that's not a totally unpleasant prospect.

I have heard rumors that James Garner is not well. I think that if one was that sick, to be reminded of happy times and to think about happy things is best, than to wallow in unhappiness. I had a cousin who had a major heart attack when she was 80 and her favorite relative visited her in the hospital. It made all the difference and her health improved dramatically after that uplifting visit. She will celebrate her 101 birthday this May. So positive, uplifting people have a tremendous impact on others. It's no surprise Doris makes James Garners spirits soar even though he's so ill.

She is so sweet and i love james garner as well, i acutally liked the chemistry between James Garner and Doris Day as a team as much as I liked the one Rock and Doris shared. They seemed more like an actual couple.
