Doris to be interviewed by Michael Ball

According to the Doris Day Tribute facebook page, Doris will be interviewed this Sunday (Aug. 21, 2012) on Michael Ball's radio program. Here are the details:

We are only 3 weeks away now until the release of Doris Day’s new album “MY HEART” on September 5th. In preparation of this epic occasion the Hollywood star has given an all-new British interview (her first in 17 years!).
The British singer and radio presenter Michael Ball is the lucky guy who gets to talk to Ms. Day. She will be the guest star on his show of Sunday, 21 August 2011.
Michael’s show begins at 11am (UK time) on BBC Radio 2 and will also be available for fans to listen in online via the link below.

Wonderful interview. She sounds happy, grateful and so content. Love that she is still in close contact with Jimmy Garner. Their friendship has endured many decades now which a testament to both of their characters. Here's hoping we get more interviews as the September drop date draws closer.

Yea, wasn't it great? Doris sounds in tip-top form- as Michael Ball said - she sounds amazing - while her voice is not exactly as it was in the 1950s say, it hasn't really changed at all since the 1980s and is not the voice of an older lady - Doris has been lucky in this regard, she most certainly does not sound anywhere near her age - and as stated, she just sounds so grateful, content and happy !

As i listened to this, a big smile just came across my face - Doris still has the capacity to make me joyous too - I adore her!

This interview was wonderful! I loved hearing Doris tell her stories--even though I've heard/read them over and over. And it was so sweet when Michael Ball told Doris that he "was a little bit in love with her"!

I know I keep saying this, but it's just a fact that Doris brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart. I love her, and always will!!

I was glad to hear her talk about James Garner also; she said that they were close and she didn't make it sound like he was near death as the gossip papers had said earlier which is a relief. because I love him too.
