Hi edie - welcome to the forum. If you could try to paste any of the links to those pages here, it would help.
All you need to do is go to where you are talking about - click on the 'address' at the top - for example, this page is showing:

posting.php?mode=reply&f=1&t=3951

If you click on the 'address' once it will be highlighted - if not, double click - then you right click and select Copy or Control C. It is then in the computer's memory so you can either paste here using right click Paste, or Control V. You could also paste it into your text editor and come here and paste it into your post.

Call it a day! Doris knew when to step down from the limelight so maybe The Beach Boys should take a lesson from her. With Mike Love fireing Brian Wilson and their comeback tour painful to watch. Re viewed my video of the Carmel weekend in 1993 and The Beach Boys were there and still riding high. Wonder what happened to Loni Anderson who was at the weekend party also? Always wondered why the evening dance was not televised like the afternoon events on Entertainment Tonight and Viki Lawrence show. When Barbara Wa Wa interviewed Doris for her book she asked if her career was enough and hinted of retirement for Doris. Ms. Wa Wa should take that advice and slip into her own living room too. When is enough, enough? Some people go on and on and on even if they have worn out their welcome.

Blimey! What a great post, Ray. And no mention of "Murder, She Wrote" or "The Doris Day Show"!

Yes, what did happen to Loni Anderson? I strongly remember the name but not what she did - did she sing?

Hey Ray, I just came across this pic of you and you-know-who. I must have done it for your birthday some time ago - any idea when?

That was a Doris Day convention in the eighties, right?

First met Doris in 1987 then 1993. The magazine is Hollywood Studio and had an article of my Doris Day collection and my pet theraphy program back then. Thats how I got to meet Doris because of the article. Michael Doyle saw it and invited me to the convention in 1987. Mike planned the convention with a few other people and glad he did. Howard, Laureen and Don Chang were there too for an afternoon with Doris.

That's good, edie, As someone said to me recently, "Don't think that because you can't do it now, it doesn't mean you won't be able to one day". :)

Thanks for the great pictures of Doris and Marty with the leaves and at the Grand Canyon.

Reading all the comments, Doris always responds with grace and good humour to any situation. I think she radiates this quality in all her photos.

The young actors and actresses today should follow her example instead of attracting negative headlines for D.U.I.'s, using drugs or being unprofessional, (late for work and unprepared). If they did, they could have a outstanding place in film history and continue to be well liked by their fans.

Doris is always good grace and class personified.
Johnny

Wish Doris did that phone interview last year on Ellen. Ellen is ok but she makes me nervous jumping around so much :o Ellen had many tV shows that didn't hit till this one.

It didn't work Ray - you can't really talk Doris 24/7 unless you've had the rest of your brain removed.

Has anyone seen the grand wall painting of Doris in Love Me Or Leave Me at the Disney Hollywood Music Resort in Florida? Its not copyrighted so Doris is brunette but still a great painting and we will all know it is her. I would like to work at Disney and may apply there. I would have them play Disney Girls from Doris's CD
