Love the current forum banner with the CARMEL mag cover - the story is fabulous written by Clint Eastwood's wife - came out awhile ago and it is a keeper. Yes, the Carmel coast and town is very pretty - a perfect setting for our "Girl Next Door." Have a great day everyone.

Do you mean for Doris, MA? Seems to be the end of the Doris phone-ins era. At her age she probably needs to take it a bit easier so it's probably for the best. I can't imagine what being almost 90 is like - you must be a bit 'fragile' at that age, even if you are in good health.

I have always known Doris hated to wear a lot of makeup an has always preferred the more natural look, just now found a quote from her under one on her pictures.



“In Pajama Game, Doris dispensed with make-up and went through the film wearing her skin the way she likes it, shining, and well-scrubbed. For Midnight Lace, the verdict went against her and she bowed to the anti-freckle faction. Under the make-up base, she had trouble recognizing herself. ‘Maybe men like it, think it’s flattering,’ she grumbled. ‘A suede finish. A matte finish. Yeah, a door mat. I prefer a natural look.
