Will there also be the local broadcast going on too like usual ( KYAA) ? The one where she usually calls in.
Ed Dickinson, who spoke to Doris last year from what was Magic63 and is now KIDD. has been retired as they want to make the station all sport.

Can't see anything on Baltimore Radio: http://baltimorenetradio.com/ProgramSch ... il2013.htm

Mike DeVita is going to be playing her music and inviting fans to phone in - see post on it.

I don't know of anything else or any plans for Doris to talk to any radio station.

I sent Bryan another group of photos from the birthday party last night. The theme was Pajama Game and, yes, some of us wore PJ's. But I'm not naming names.

I've put the Carmel photos on a banner. Michael wrote: "This year's birthday party theme was The Pajama Game. Lloyd Jessen put everything together with impeccable taste and attention to detail. The party was held in Terry's Lounge at the Cypress Inn.

Pictures include clockwise: Carmel - Where four leggers are welcome at restaurants.
Pajama Party table setting including placemats, coffee mugs, pinwheels and pajama cut-outs, all courtesy of Lloyd.
Jeanne Marie sang songs from the film, while Renny played keyboard.

Pajama Tops (L to R): Lloyd, Renny, Danny and Mark.

Paul E. Brogan - Happy Birthday Doris Day!!
If you’re under 50, the name Doris Day may mean absolutely nothing to you. Sure, you may have a vague recollection of her name being part of the lyrics to the popular 1980’s Wham tune, “Wake Me up before you go” or some years earlier, in the stage and film versions of “Grease”.

Of course if you’re a fan of Turner Classic Movies, she’s one of those names that pop up with regularity and her name will be forever linked with the late Rock Hudson with whom she co-starred in a hugely popular series of romantic comedies.

As hard to believe as it might be, today is Doris Day’s 89th birthday..."

They've just mentioned her birthday and are playing "It might as well be Spring." They are playing other artists as well though.

Thanks Michael. It's almost midnight in Blighty so I don't know how long I'll last. (And I'm worried that Ray might tell me off if I do boring things like sleep when it's Doris' birthday. :)

I'm missing Doris from the banner :( so I've moved your celebration banner to here:

Love to everyone there - hope you're all having fun.

What happened at the Jazz show? Any mention of the 35th year celebration? I took bets Doris would show up. Rats, she didn't I guess.

Hey guys, Doris called in to the Laura Didier / Jim Martinez concert and sounded wonderful. There were issues with the phone connection, but Doris soldiered on and told everyone how much she appreciated us. She is doing very well from what I can tell and is happy with her life in Carmel. She remains open and receptive to the outpouring of love for her. She is truly my inspiration, to coin a familiar phrase.

Met several new people this year who are fans and they are all fantastic people. Feeling very happy and grateful right now.

I can understand Doris not attending but was hopeful because she stated in her interview with Jackie Joseph in December that she would like to go to The Cypress Inn more often and have a few laughs and meet people and even ok with pictures. Thought this would have been such a time. But her phone call is more than enough and she seems very happy with the events. Glad you all had a wonderful time. Was the animal celebration of 35 years mentioned? Surprises about that were also promised in the Jackie Joseph Tolucan interview.
