It's my Doris Day-A-Thon today! Took off from work, declared it a national holiday, Lol. Got my popcorn popped for the big screening of Calamity Jane with commentary from one of the TCM hosts. Can't wait!

Also, be sure to check out DDAF website, we can make a donation to her organization in the name of Rose Marie, as it's her 90th birthday this year as well. Rose Marie requested this, and the foundation website has a special note from Doris!

We watched the Doris Day Film Festival on TCM yesterday and that is what it was, a festival for six of us. We started off with It's A Great Feeling, then On Moonlight Bay, By The Light of The Silvery Moon, It Happened To Jane and then Calmity Jane. We ate and drank all day, and most of all, laughed. We all agreed that there is no other actress that matches Doris for charm, and good humour. It was a wonderful day with Doris Day. Thanks TCM.

The Doris Day paper dolls are being advertised on TCM gift shop. Good idea of Pierre Patrick with the paper dolls.

We did the same thing Johnny, even took the day off from work. I felt a cold coming on! LOL Not really, just have a great boss that let me switch days at the last minute. I couldn't agree with you more about the charm and humor! Wonderful Day indeed!

Just received my October 2013 copy of TCM Now Playing and discovered that on October 20th, Lover Come Back and Send Me No Flowers will be a double- bill from 8:p.m. until midnight. These are two outstanding Doris Day-Rock Hudson comedies.

TCM Now Playing is a great magazine.

Good reminder, Johnny. I'm on the west coast and watched it this afternoon. All those great laughs were very therapeutic after a string of things that have been going a bit awry lately!

Today, October 7th on TCM at 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m., (eastern time), Billy Rose's Jumbo is showing.

The musical soundtrack is glorious. Listening to Doris sing My Romance and Little Girl Blue will melt your heart.

Listen to the knockout closing number Sawdust, Spangles and Dreams. Doris Day, Stephen Boyd, Jimmy Durante and Martha Raye do a spectacular job.

For any forum members who are night owls, there are two Doris Day films on TCM Sunday morning December 16th.

The Thrill of It All 1:30 a.m.
Midnight Lace 3:30 a.m.

Perhaps this would be of interest to forum members on the west coast where the films are shown three hours earlier.
