Doris Day 2015 Quiz

Unread post by webmaster » 08 Jan 2015, 16:07

I thought it might be fun to start a general everyone-can-contribute quiz - ie, anyone can post quiz question(s).

Here's the first one - but can I first ask if you definitely know the answer, (and I know some of you do) just say 'I know that' rather than give the answer so other people can have a chance otherwise it will be over in 5 minutes. If you are uncertain or guessing, that's fine.

So Here's the first one.

Doris Day Quiz #1

Question 1: Name the film.

Question 2. On the set of which film?

Question 3. The Melchers on the set of which film?

So far Ania has got # 1 right and Toby has got # 3 right.

Any ideas about # 2?

I think I know what it is, and it's quite some time before "DND."

Ok, as there are no other suggestions, both please say what you think the film is.

Correct answer means you start the next quiz - okay? :)

Yes, you're right, Jas. The clue was in the baseball game!

Are you okay about setting a new quiz? It doesn't have to have pictures - questions are fine.

Don't know 3 & 5, but believe 1 is Spring Byington, 2 is false, and 4 is true.

I am sorry, but going back to the first quiz, I thought I saw the second picture where Doris is swinging the base ball bat, and it said under it, she was on the set of"Touch Of Mink". Off camera shot of her playing ball.

........................................................

Barbara - I'm answering you here so as not to distract too much. I found it on the topic 'The Winning Team' on http://www.songsandmemories.com/our-for ... ble-td1887 so I assumed it was from that film but you could be right.

Bryan - It is definitely "That Touch of Mink" as I have the picture and below is noted, "Doris Day tries out her batting skills to the amusement of crew members on the set of her upcoming film, "That Touch of Mink".

You can do the next one, Jas - looks like there won't be a clear winner on "Daisies".
