Thanks!

This is one I asked Puck to colour, from original below - pretty neat! Love the red on the baseball cap!

Another crack at the baseball pic:

I love this banner Puck. It brings back countless good memories. Rosemary De Camp and Leon Ames were the best of parents.
When I was about seven I heard my parents talking about how high the phone bill was; they wondered who was making all the long distance calls. Every Saturday morning I made my regular visiting rounds to the neighbors up and down the street. Sparing the details I made sure to show all the neighbors our phone bill with great pride and only Mrs. Cook directed me to take it back to my parents. She did offer me as usual a big white peppermint from her glass jar in the kitchen.
When my father found out, he looked a lot like Marjorie's and Wesley's father. Exasperated! My mother just laughed. It was my two older brothers that made the long distance calls. I am glad it was not me. They were not allowed to use the phone for a week.

Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2016
Thanks as always. More from Puck soon.
The last image made me think that Doris could have had another career as a model! She had a great figure and knew how to pose, as shown here being photographed for Lover Come Back.
I was trying to think who else found film fame adter working as a model... Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Tippi Hedren... must be lots more.
Anyway, this is just a bit of lazy Sunday fun:

Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2016
Beautiful banner! Lauren Bacall's career also began as a model.
Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2016
Thanks Puck - and thanks Judy - I forgot about Bacall.

Suzy Parker was another, remember her? She played opposite Cary Grant in Kiss Them for Me.
She died in 2003. I just found this on her:

Suzy Parker was another, remember her? She played opposite Cary Grant in Kiss Them for Me.
She died in 2003. I just found this on her:
http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2006/05/ ... ker-200605I can tell you about the day I first met Suzy,” says founder of the eponymous modeling agency Eileen Ford. “One day Dorian Leigh, one of the top models in the world at that time, called and said, ‘I will come with your agency if you tell me now you’ll take my little sister Suzy sight unseen.’ To get Dorian Leigh I would have taken Gargantua. So we all agreed to meet at a restaurant on 55th Street. And Jerry [Eileen’s husband] and I were sitting there waiting for Dorian and her little sister. In came Dorian, followed by five-foot-ten, redheaded, blue-eyed Suzy Parker. Jerry and I almost fainted with delight.”
