Bryan i love all the banners celebrating Doris's 92nd birthday! Still classy and beautiful as always. FYI: TCM is running Send Me No Flowers tomorrow. Wish i could be in Carmel for the big celebration. I hope Doris has a wonderful birthday and i hope she knows how much she is loved and celebrated all around the world not just on her birthday but everyday of the year. Thank you Bryan for providing this judgement free forum for Doris Day fans everywhere.

Yes Carmel does look beautiful, doesn't it? Michael has sent some more photos of events going on there so check those out. No sign of Doris so far, but today is her birthday and I hope there are some fans still around who will go to the usual place to wish her happy birthday and we may get to see her from a distance - fingers crossed!

I was interested in Michael saying that Doris spoke to everyone personally at the Cypress Inn on Thursday or Friday night. We'll have to ask him what she said and what he said! What would you say to Doris if you had a few minutes alone with her on the phone? I think I'd be too excited to have a normal conversation and would probably gush a lot!

All of these photographs of Doris are simply beautiful. I really cant think of another entertainer who has aged as well as Doris. Her skin is flawless. Her smile is unmistakable and her eyes have that same sparkle even at 92. I just hope that when im 92 that i look as incredible as Doris.

Did anyone else notice how similar her appearance and smile are in these photos?

It takes a keen eye to find a photo from the past that so closely resembles the new one.

I was looking for an image of Doris and her dogs from way back that showed how long she's loved dogs - set against the current image we have of her with the doggie above. Also as a way of making a transition back from now to then - then being the many more images we have of her as a working actress and singer. I know we all love the young Doris but I think we almost love her more now, knowing what she's been through and achieved with her talent, compassion and strength of personality.

I think it's been a great period, her birthday and the events in Carmel - and that is mostly down to you taking the time to include us all in with your photos and commentaries. I guess we can all relax now for another year! But, no doubt, we'll be keeping a watchful eye on Carmel and for news of Doris.

Age is just a number is what Doris got across this week. After following Doris for decades youth was not the attraction. Her talent and beautiful soul always comes through. The tabloids are youth oreinitated because they think thats the market to reach. That notion is finally fadeing with dynamic celebrities like Doris. As far as age i think Doris looked her oldest in the early fifties. But that was ok because age was never the issue for most. Anyway a great week and Its Magic again. I will be 39 in June! And I am sticking to that!
