Thank you all.
Staying with Young at Heart, which I will for a bit, here's one posted by Peter Flapper - thanks Peter!

Ethel Barrymore, Doris and Gig Young.
Here's the original, which you can find in photo section:

And here's a question:

Which song was Doris singing here?

Amazing banner, and I don't know which song she is singing, forgot, age, terrible, My mind is still on holiday, wish it is always summer, sunshine and light makes people happy, and Miss Day, gave us so many sunshines in our lives, and still do.

Nice treatment of the banner photo in sepia, Bryan.
I'm postponing my answer to the song question . . . but will say that it was co-written by Ray Heindorf, the conductor and arranger on Young at Heart.

Hi Bryan,
That's a quick banner, just uploaded the photo! Thanks.

I thought you'd know the song, Judy! Nicely restrained of you not to say!
And you too, Peter - actually I couldn't remember it but I got it from your clue!
Another of yours:

That's a genuine smile from Doris there - wonder why?
Looks good in black and white, by comparison, doesn't it?

What a wonderful Young At Heart banner!
Out of the group of seven, there are three Academy Award winners, Ethel Barrymore (1944-None But The Lonely Heart);Dorothy Malone (1956- Written On The Wind); Gig Young (1969-They Shoot Horse Don't They?
Doris is certainly surrounded by a lot of talented performers.
Thank you Bryan and Peter for such an interesting banner.

Young At Heart may be the most Eisenhower-ish film Doris ever made. Everything about it represents 1950s innocence and the post WW2 rise of the Baby Boomer generation. It's wholesome, optimistic and pro-family all the way. I love this movie because it is so comforting to watch now. Considering the current state of the world, it's hard to believe this fairy tale world ever existed.

Thanks Bryan for featuring Doris Day-Young At Heart banners. It prompted me to play the film's soundtrack. There are several truly beautiful & classic songs in the film.
Till My Love Comes To Me, Ready Willing and Able, and the moving Hold Me In Your Arms Doris sings in the beach scene are outstanding.
Someone To Watch Over Me is timeless and one of my all-time favourites.I am surprised that no recognition was given by the Academy to this soundtrack. Doris Day and Frank Sinatra, two legends in music and film singing together is a remarkable delight.
Thinking about the compassion Doris' character Laurie shows Frank Sinatra's vulnerable character, Barney, brought to mind Doris' care for animals. The great feelings of empathy and sympathy for people and animals in need endear Doris to everyone.
One never knows the power of a Doris Day banner and the road it may take us down. There is so much to love about Young At Heart. The film is often overshadowed by Doris' other films. Thanks for bringing Young At Heart to the forefront.

Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2016
Right, Johnny, and remember also There's a Rising Moon, the Fain & Webster ballad.
There was some pretty stiff Oscar competition for scoring of a musical that year, including for Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, There's No Business Like Show Business, and The Glenn Miller Story. Ray Heindorf, who scored Young at Heart, also got a nomination (his 11th, I think), but it was for A Star is Born. He had a fine body of work over many years.

Another beautiful YAH banner- love the way the colour on the banner's edge brings in Doris' outfit - a perfect 1950s homely musical scene.
It is annoying how this film is totally ignored when critics talk about Sinatra's films - it was very important to him - in that it was his first role as a leading man again [after his Oscar win in a supporting role in From here to Eternity] and after his years in the showbiz wilderness.

Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2016
Good point there, Jas, he did a great job in that film, as did Doris and the other cast members.
Oh, and I sampled DD's dress colour for the top and bottom panels!

Re: Doris Day Forum Banners 2016
Youre welcome Bryan. And here youve posted another great Young At Heart banner. What strikes me about Doris in these beautiful banners is her innocence. She looks so beautiful and unassuming in contrast to Frank who looks rough around the edges.

Just another amazing banner, love the colors, and her hairstyle, short, it did make her younger, sexier, but what ever she wears, she looks always bright and always smiling, she brought us sunshine.
