Beautiful banner!

The light blue in the background and the dark blue on the shoulder of her dress really brighten the blue in Doris' eyes.

Doris and Gordon made a charming on-screen couple. They sounded great together when they sang.

And wow Bryan, what a busy, busy city is London, so many people, so many trafic, but do love it.
Found some dvd of Doris...." By the light of the silvery Moon" , " Calamity Jane" , but those I already have.. but lovely to see, there still in the shop....

London can be a nightmare to get around at certain times, particularly during the rush hours. I still love it, I've spent most of my adult life living here, but I sometimes dream about living in the country or by the coast. London is better in the spring and summer when you can visit the parks and other places and it all seems a bit more relaxed.

But there are many more people here now compared to ten years ago. Rents and property prices keep rising. A friend of mine pays almost £2,000 a month for a not very large two-bedroom flat.

Staying with using some old banners, another one from Puck (slight colour adjustment):

Hi Puck and Bryan,

Thank you so much for the colourful banners, a great joy to open the forum, as always! I liked the pairing of Doris with Gordon MacRae, wish they had sang more together than what is available, think their voices blend perfectly... Enjoy the films the make together but also the radio shows: Railroad Hour (No, No Nanette and Girl Crazy) and the Doris Day radio shows.

Doris wears a lot of great outfits, but there are some (also Warner Bros promo) outfits that in my opinion never were "mode" wise in fashion. (as is this outfit, but I could be wrong)

Thank you Peter and Bryan, love the new banner.
Do love her outfit, and wish she did make more musicals with Gordon. But Gordon choice a other way to make his living.
And yes London can be a nightmare, during the rush hours, did experienced that. Ones I did went to London in the summer, so different, but I do speak about 30 years ago, and that is long time.
Saw at Harrods, cross the street, how must a apartment cost, the rents were very high.
But London is still my favorite city to be.

The "Sitting Pretty" Doris banner is charming. I love the shadow from the chair in this picture. It adds to the sense of elegance as does the white gloves and lace in the jacket and dress. The shades of blue give so much depth to the picture. The black stripes are bold and in contrast with the softness of the other colours which gives added interest. Doris looks so mature and sophisticated in this photo.

Thanks you Bryan and Puck!

Greetings to everyone! It's good to be back with all of you great Doris Day fans. Doris is very fortunate to have Bryan for a fan as well as the dozens of others who keep this forum going year after year.

I have had to move 4 times during the past few years, which was not my interest (long story) and I'll have to move yet again in another 3 months. I hope that will be the last time.

It's good to be back. Thank you, Bryan, for your help.

Lauren

Great to see you all again - and Lauren! :)

My hosting company said that my server had had too many requests and ran out of memory. They've given me a separate virtual server in case it happens again so I can reboot it and get it going again. I said I appreciated that but why did it take them two days to let me know? Haven't had an answer to that one.

Anyway, we're back now! :D
