Please come celebrate Doris’ birthday the weekend of April 1, 2016!

Join fans and animal lovers from all over the world to help DDAF celebrate all things Doris. The fun-filled weekend will raise funds for the hundreds of animals that DDAF helps each year - and there’s nothing closer to Doris’ heart than helping the precious four-leggers! But we can’t do it without you!

Friday, April 1

Meet and mingle with Doris’ co-stars,* such as Kym Karath ("Gretl" in "Sound of Music") and Brian Nash (from TV's "Please Don't Eat the Daisies"), Doris' kids from "The Thrill of It All,” at a private VIP reception hosted by the Cypress Inn. Join Kym and Brian afterward for a Q & A as they share fun stories of working with our beloved star, followed by a concert of Doris Day music by Jim Martinez and Laura Didier across the street at the Church of the Wayfarer.

Saturday, April 2

The celebration will culminate on Saturday evening with the multi-talented Scott Dreier’s Carmel debut of his critically acclaimed “Doris and Me” show, paying loving tribute to Doris Day. The show has been a coast-to-coast sell-out, and you won’t want to miss this very special performance.

To reserve your room – Call Cypress Inn at 831-624-3871
(A portion of your room rate at any Cypress Inn property will be donated back to the Doris Day Animal Foundation.)

To book your package ($150) – Call 831-620-7455
(Includes: Premium seating at the “Doris and Me”; private VIP celebrity co-star reception; meet-and-greet and Q&A; premium seating at the Jim Martinez and Laura Didier concert; and a special gift.

To book general seats to see "Doris and Me" only ($50) – Call 831-620-7455

Remember, all proceeds will go to the Doris Day Animal Foundation. So, don’t be left out of the fun - Book now! See you in April!

So who's going from here, apart from Michael? (Who's going to send some pics to share.)

Howard, are you going?

How I wish I (and all of us) were going to this wonderful event. It will great to see the pictures. I hope Michael enjoys every moment and I am sure he will.

The pictures from Doris' 90th birthday were so inspiring and uplifting when seeing how much Doris was enjoying the celebration. She is so well loved.

I have put Doris' birthday card in the mail.

Have a great time Howard! Please update us with news and pictures. I so wish I could be there!! I miss the radio program that used to be all day and Doris would call in. It was such a huge, exciting celebration then!

Hi Dominique,

I'm afraid you're reading last year's birthday posts. Below is the link to the latest one, 2017. So far no one has said they are going. Someone suggested to me that it is becoming 'too popular' and that it doesn't have that intimate group feeling anymore. But that was just one person, I don't know what other people think. I'm sure there will be some of the usual suspects there this year. :)

That's good to know, MA. thank you. Our usual photographer. Michael Hadley, can't make it this year - but I imagine we'll see photos of the event on social media, YouTube, etc - and hopefully on here. :)

PS: You don't need another s after Doris' - it should be Doris' birthday not Doris's birthday - a common mistake! - Dorothy Detail  (The Law of Karma says that I'll make lots of spelling errors now that I've pointed that out!)
