Today In Doris Day History:

On August 29-1957 , Doris Day's film The Pajama Game was released. It is one of the best must musicals in Hollywood history and perhaps the most underappreciated.

Cineplex Classic Films series is a monthly opportunity for great films of the past to return to the big screen for today's audience.

I plan to request that The Pajama Game be shown.

Currently, Young Man With A Horn is showing.

Last month we saw How To Marry A Millionaire.

A wonderful experience!

I think a lot of people thought that she had just recorded that album, Johnny - judging from some of the comments and reviews I read!

Thank you so much Bryan for posting Terry singing Happy Endings with Doris introducing the song. It is a deeply moving beautiful piece.

Many of the touching photos of Doris and Terry are new to me. They are a joy to see.

I wish Doris still had Terry here to support her. Losing her only child must have been incredibly painful for Doris; and yet whenever we see or hear Doris, she radiates happiness and good will.

Thanks again Bryan!

Today In Doris Day History:

On September 14- 1964, The Doris Day Christmas Album was released. Doris' recording of I'll Be Home For Christmas is the most heartfelt and authentic rendition of this song ever recorded.

Toyland is another extraordinary song on this perfect Christmas album.
