I actually prefer the original with her facing right and less zoomed in but that's just me. Both make glorious banners and they are perfect for the New Year holiday season. Great work, as always, Bryan and Puck.
I'll see what ai can do.

I second all the comments made - some great contributors here that keep the engine running. Thank you all so much. I'm sure Doris appreciates the effort we all make to keep her legacy alive.

Thank you, gents, for the kind words. Let me return the compliments to each of you -- and, as Michael noted, particularly to Bryan for managing a great website. My best wishes to each of you for a 2018 filled with joy and good health.

This is another spectacular banner. As to which image is reversed, I'm not sure. It's hard to tell; there are no buttons to be seen on the left, as women's clothing has, or a wedding ring shown. Typically Doris's hairstyles were designed so that the front was swept to her right, but I don't recall whether that was the case in "Pillow Talk," from which this photo comes.

Thanks, Judy! Happy New Year.

The parting seems to be on the right on images I've looked at - but it's how she looks when enlarged. Will illustrate later.

Here we go:

Image

Original is on the right - it's not a great difference but, to me, it looks like it has been switched around at some stage. What do you think?

Sherlock James

PS The other thing is that Doris preferred to be photographed from the right side so I think she would automatically have requested that for studio portraits.

Here's one for you, Michael. Many thanks for your interesting and perceptive posts - you always make me think! I love all the Doris videos you've created, the photos from Carmel, which has given us the next best thing to being there. And the film reviews and PDF layouts you did for www.classicfilmsreloaded.com You're a man of many talents and thank you for sharing some of them here. 8)

It may take a short while for the new banner to appear.

Also wanted to say a special thank you to Ania, who loves Doris with a passion that exceeds most of us and shows it creatively through her artwork and music videos. Keep going, Ania - you're a true loyal fan. :)

Thanks for the New Year's fireworks, "Sherlock"!

I think you're right; the banner image seems to be the correct one.

Thanks, Michael! 8)

I thought I'd share this little video of Howard & Doris dancing in the New Year. (Gene Nelson was unavailable so a bright new talent was brought in to replace him!) Made by Lloyd K Jessen.
