I love the memorial banner too. She was at her loveliest when this was taken with her look in Midnight Lace perhaps taking her beauty a step further. Her eyes look right through you. The directness that Jimmy Cagney raved about - you can see that here.
Thank you, Bryan.

The Doris memorial banner is perfection. Doris being surrounded by Rock, Thelma and Tony is truly comforting and beautiful. The light radiating from Doris' face captures her essence. The soft shades of blue, pink and white make this banner fittingly majestic.
Bryan, this is the image of Doris that will stay with me. Thank you for this magnificent tribute banner.

I love this photo of her too. She looks so fresh and innocent. At that time, she had no idea how huge a star she would become. The reality of her passing still eludes me. I know she's left this world but I can't process the loss yet. It doesn't seem real to me.

Thanks, Michael, nicely put and know what you mean. Sometimes I think I'm getting over it and now, just having done an image I thought might help us to move on, I'm suddenly sad again. I think it's going to take longer than I thought.

Thank you Bryan for this timeless testimonial banner that captures our true and deep feelings about Doris. We will always miss her. Doris' smile and the light in her eyes warms our hearts.
Grieving has no time table and is different for everyone. I like to think that Doris was given ninety-seven to do much good work to make our world better for everyone, and especially animals needing love. It is my sincere wish that in time, all who feel sadness missing Doris will arrive at a place filled with peace and comforting memories.

LOVE THE BANNER!!! I was fortunate enough to be at that July, 1985 Press Conference in Carmel, and Doris did indeed look radiant. This banner captures the glow that radiated to everyone in attendance.

I love the way she looked at that time in her life. Happy and confident. The picture at that event where she is holding Ryan is another of my favorites. Thanks for the great banner.
Cheers,

I'd love to see the full press conference [1985]- only have seen snippets and they are fascinating.

I guess this image is back to basics, Calamity Jane. as you all know. I'm still in the same mood as I was when I said I was unsure about continuing the forum - a bit stronger than that, but you know what I mean. For me, it's different that Doris is no longer here but if you can all keep it going without too much input from me I'm happy to let it continue. And maybe I'll feel different in the future. How has her not being here affected you?

Thank you Bryan for posting this beautiful Calamity Jane banner. It is one if my favourites. I can hear Doris singing Secret Love.
It is clear that your sorrow is still present
regarding Doris' passing. I hope that you feel that Doris' presence and memory will always be near.
The Doris Day Forum is incredibly important in keeping Doris' memory and talents alive. It is a living memorial that honours Doris.
This forum is an important, unique and outstanding resource for researchers and artists wishing to create books, films or plays about Doris who really is a cultural icon of the 20th century.
Bryan, when you created the Doris Day Forum, you created a community of love.which is truly special. I hope you can feel a sense of pride and importance with your creation. The forum members celebrate Doris with every post and it is part of our daily lives. I hope the forum can continue.
I hope you can find some comfort in these words.
A miracle can be defined as a shift in perception. I hope you find your miracle to feel better. Take good care.

Re: Forum Banners 2019
Hi Bryan,
Not post a lot lately… Didn't have to do anything about your forum thoughts and Doris leaving… To much going on in my own life. Hope things will get a little bit normal soon… But we all know... What Ever Will Be, Will Be.
I'm still sad that Doris is gone, but I can handle it. Listen to her music a lot, and still find things I hadn't heard before… (I listened to Move Over Darling with an earphone… there is a kind of twinkle in the music, I hadn't heard all those years through my stereo system) That was a nice experience.
Always had a dream that I should go to Carmel to meet her... Well that's not gonna happen in this life anymore… But life goes on, and I hope to keep her memory alive. And I'm still happy to do that here or on Twitter/Facebook or where ever. I hope anyone here joins in, are stays around here. But if people" move on" I respect that in anyway (even if they come back later)
We will see what the future brings, but I think I will be somewhere on a Doris hunt… Her music, photo's, memorabilia, story's, films and what ever will come my way.... [I bought recently my first Doris t-shirt… No clue about American sizes… If anyone comes over for a sleepover (hope that word is correctly used) we both can sleep in my Doris tent...]

(this is an normal sized one I think…)

Hi Peter,
Thank you for your thoughtful post. Grief is an individual timeframe for each person.
I hope this extraordinary DD forum will continue to be a celebration of Doris' life.
I love the Doris T-Shirt. Where did you find it? I would like to get one in white. You
