Thank you so much Bryan for this truly special banner of Doris singing. I love the delicate sepia tone.

The joyous fresh soft look on her face is so engaging. Doris' eyes are smiling.

I love the smile emoji. It works perfectly.

This banner is so welcoming and captures Doris' true joyful spirit which uplifts us all.

Hello all!

I spent some time thinking about a new banner just to show I still care, which of course, I do! Even though I've been taking a hands-off approach. It was quite difficult but I finally settled on the one you can see.

I also made this one but prefer the one above.

The quote comes from a lovely story from a girl who grew up being inspired by her.

Bryan, Thank you for your new and inspiring Doris Day banner. The young woman's story speaking about Doris Day's lasting influence on her life is a story that everyone on this forum can appreciate. Doris has influenced us all through her artistry and kind and graceful character.

I agree our world is not the same without Doris Day but she did change our world by becoming a cultural icon through her music, films and advocacy for animals. Our world is better for having Doris Day live in our time. We must always remember to celebrate Doris and be thankful for her. It would be wonderful to have a similar legacy when it is our time to leave this world.

We will never forget Doris because we never forget people we love who have made our lives better.

Again, thank you Bryan for this thoughtful and beautiful banner that inspired these thoughts. They give me great comfort.

Thanks Ania and Johnny, I appreciate your comments. Yes the world isn't the same without Doris but I think we all still feel close to her in our own way, don't we? It's like losing a member of the family, they're not here but they still are strangely. I know I'll never forget her.

Ania, you've been posting some really great photos - and Peter - I've posted a few on my DD Twitter page a couple of days ago - scroll down a little: https://twitter.com/DayRemembering
There are other I posted earlier.

Here are a couple more banners I rejected, not sure why but hey, it's Doris!

I'll try and contribute a bit more.

Love the banners and always look forward to seeing new ones. Thank you Bryan for ALL you do to keep Doris with us. Think it is great that movie theaters are starting to show some of Doris’s movies on the big screen. I have s younger friend who really loves Doris...she just saw her very first DD film ‘Pillow Talk’ on the big screen in September and she was thrilled. Nothing like seeing Doris on the big screen. Keep up the GREAT work Bryan and thank you so much for keeping Doris right here. God bless dear Doris. She had no idea how many people she had touched over the years and thanks to you, Bryan, she is still very much with us!🥰❤️

Bryan,

I think you chose wisely. This is a beautiful photo and quote. I've come to appreciate her ducktail hairstyle over the years. It was very becoming to Doris and I don't think many other stars could have pulled it off.

I just want to take a moment to say it was 12 years ago today that I joined the Doris Day Forum.

This forum has given me so much pleasure in sharing Doris Day stories, knowledge and experiences as well as learning so many interesting informative Doris stories and history from other forum members. It has meant a great deal to me.

Seeing all the fantastic photo jewels of Doris' life as a singer, actress, mom, and animal advocate is a true joy.

Thank you to all the forum members that have made such valuable and memorable contributions. I have learned a great deal.

I must also say a huge thank you to Bryan for steering this forum through a difficult year. I sincerely appreciate your dedication and heartfelt care. It means a great deal.

Thanks Bryan and Puck for this wonderful Doris banner. The Blue font compliments the sparkle in Doris' eyes.

I think Doris' optimistic and apprective spirit made her ageless.
