This image of Doris looks like it is from film era of The Tunnel of Love or It Happened To Jane. Doris' hairstyles look very similar in both films.
Doris shows a classic simple sophistication wearing her white blouse and pants. I love her direct look into the camera. She appears so comfortable and composed.
The red background serves as an effective background contrast for Doris' white outfit.
Thank you Bryan!

This may be my least favorite Doris Day hairstyle. Among the shorter styles she wore, I actually prefer the Ducktail over this one. But it is a great photo of her. Like the recent one in the scarf, it's very 50s and no one wore tight slacks better than Doris. Her figure was outstanding.
Another winner. Thank you, Mr. James.

Thanks, Johnny & Michael.

I remember getting an A5 picture-book about Doris when I was about 16 and that photo was on the cover.

Thanks all - I love this photo of Doris!

Does anyone know when it was taken and if it was to publicise any particular film? (The Winning Team?)

Happy New Year to you, too, Bryan -- and to all the Forum members who contribute so much. I think Scott Delucchi's comment that Doris "will be deeply missed" says it all. She was such a class act, and I'm just very grateful that we can continue to hear her voice and see her performances.

Thank you Bryan for this lovely banner with Scott Delucchi's touching statement about Doris. I really love the remarks, "She leaves a legacy of incredible entertainment and compassion, philanthropy, and advocacy." I would add that Doris has left a legacy of love. She lives on in our hearts.

Itβs bittersweet but she will live forever through her movies, recordings, television show and, most of all, her groundbreaking advocacy on behalf of the animals. She raised everyoneβs consciousness about responsible pet care and loving our four legged friends. God broke the mold with Clara Bixby.
Happy New Year to everyone on this special forum.

Wishing everyone on this beautiful Doris Day Forum a Happy New Year. May 2020 be filled with kindness, joy for everyone and the heavenly music of Doris Day.
On this December 31st 2019, I am saying goodbye to the year and this decade with the music of Doris Day's albums, Day by Day and Day by Night.
I will welcome 2020 with Doris Day's The Love Album and Doris Day's My Heart.
Happy New Year!!!
