Toni, I have way more than 10 too, and I realized after I submitted my list that I completely forgot to include anything from her "Duet" album with Andre Previn which is one of my absolute favorites. I'd have to cheat and add both "Close Your Eyes" and "Nobody's Heart Belongs to Me" to the list. Thanks for responding. I like to see how my choices compare with other fans.

I have a hard time limiting the number of songs that I really love. There are so many early songs that I like and a lot of songs from 1955 to early 60's. So different in style but I enjoy them all so much. Some of the early songs that I really love are - -

You're My Thrill
Land of Love
No Moon At All
Just An Old Love of Mine
Tell Me Dream Face
Why Should We Both Be Lonely
Say Something Nice About Me Baby
Imagination
Dig It
Let's Be Buddies
Come To Baby, Do
'Tain't Me
Sentimental Journey -- I really like another recording made later in the 50's
And a goofy song from the Les Brown days - Booglie Wooglie Piggy !!

And these are just a few early ones that I like to listen to regularly. There are just so many !!

It is true, it is difficult to keep this to ten but ten it must be, and we are bound to forget some and from time to time they change as well; anyway, here goes: -

1- Moonglow
2- Close your eyes [Andre Previn version]
3- Tell me dream face
4- Again
5- I got it bad - and that ain't good!
6- Aint we got fun [all versions] - it just lifts me so
7- Julie
8- Time to say goodnight
9- Hoorayfor Hollywood
10-Ten Cents a dance.

"Mood Indigo" is a very hard song to sing. You are both right, Doris does a magnificent job with it.

I also love her versions of "Falling in Love Again" and "My One and Only Love" on Duet. What a priceless gem of an album. Perfectly suited for her direct intimate way with a song. I wish she had done more in this vein.

Oh yes -- I love her version of Falling In Love Again. The Duet album is wonderful from beginning to end.

I can't believe nobody mentioned "Que Sera, Sera" yet!

1. It's Magic
2. Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)
3. Secret Love
4. The Black Hills of Dakota
5. The Deadwood Stage
6. When I Fall in Love
7. If I Give My Heart to You
8. Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps
9. Put 'em in a Box, Tie 'em with a Ribbon (and Throw 'em in the Deep Blue Sea)
10. Teacher's Pet

This wasn't very hard for me to do, because I could just take a look at my loved tracks at Last.fm. :) Only reducing them to ten songs and putting them in order was somewhat difficult.
Would you please get off this line!

It is too difficult, because virtually every song performed by Doris impresses me...
Recently I listen to practically non-stop: "The Lamp Is Low" In this beautiful song, Doris the voice of is simply phenomenal♥ Here Doris enchants the listener with her voice♥ DD impresses with its excellent technique, shows emotion, wonderful dynamics in singing (piano, pianissimo, mezzo forte)♥

" Doris Day ToDay" song "Day by Day" The most beautiful pianissimo in the world, when so quietly at the end of Doris sings songs♥ Fantastic arrangement of this song♥

"Wild Fire"-"Doris Day's Best Friends"What is amazing in this song, I really do not know, because it is not the best song sung by Doris... But to me this song somehow works so incredibly, that when I listen to her, I always have chills all over my body♥ Delight♥
It's hard to choose ten, because every song sung by Doris is a gem...♥

"Que Sera, Sera" (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) I really like :D
