There are some new audio postings featuring Doris Day when she appeared on The Bob Hope Show. Go to matineeclassics.com/radio/1948/the bob hope show and you will find nine shows which have some new versions of favorite Doris Day songs such as "Sentimental Journey", "It's Magic", and "Bewitched", as well as some brand new songs. The "Sentimental Journey" version is quite interesting since it features Doris Day singing with Les Brown Orchestra and backed by a chorus (Four Hits and A Miss). Ignore the first two postings (09/14/48 and 10/12/48) since they are repeated later under separate dates. For the most part the audio is excellent with the exception of the 04/19/49 show featuring Jimmy Durante where the sound level drops badly and the two Doris Day songs -- "My Dream Is Yours" and "Mad About the Man" are cut out. There are great gems in this collection, which have now been included in The Definitive Doris Day Discography.
