Thank you so much Bryan for the fascinating videos, Doris and Marty, and The Rise of Doris Day.

The reoccurring theme of Doris' honesty, humility and her ability to transcend difficult situations throughout her life is really an inspiration. A person who is honest such as Doris does not look for dishonesty in others. Perhaps this is why she was taken advantage of by so many men in her life.

I love the respect, admiration and affection the commentators, ( A.E. Hotchner, Drew Casper, Polly Bergen and Patti Carver) show for Doris. It comes across as deeply felt.

Thanks again Bryan!

Cheers Johnny. I'd hadn't seen this before - I don't usually buy DVDs anymore.

Yes, nice to hear from Polly Bergen - never heard her speak about Doris before. I remember posting how great she was in Desperate Housewives. I was a bit surprised that she thought Marty Melcher was so handsome, but photographs don't always capture a person's personality - and he must have had some good qualities for Doris to fall for him.

Although Hotchner was more blunt when he said he said Melcher saw her as a meal ticket!

I am enjoying the movie very much. I don't think I've seen this one. Will have to see it in parts, but so far it's very entertaining and interesting. Thanks very much.

Bryan, I tried to open Doris Day; E True Hollywood Story and the video is not there. Would you please post it again. I would love to see it as I have never seen it. Thank you so much. I also tried to open the Special Features from Caprice, Doris and Marty and the Rise of Doris Day and those two videos are also not there. Have they been removed please?

Hi Bryan,
Thank you very much for kindly posting the three videos. I loved them. It is terrible that Doris had so many troubles and so much sadness in her life. I had known that because I read her book years ago. I really appreciate your posting them. Another video I would love to see if you have it is Doris' appearance on the Phil Donahue Show in the 1970s during her book tour. Please post it if you have it.

Sorry, Jas (and Patricia) I don't have it! I thought I saw his name in the documentaries folder I have.
I searched online but no luck. Maybe someone on the forum has it? :?:
