That's great, Tanja! Interesting that we both choose "Silver Bells"! I love the ending on yours and the message. Ditto Jas and Velda - very nice comments, thank you.

Doris and Christmas kind of go together - two of her best films, Calamity Jane and Pillow Talk are on (UK) TV at Christmas, which is how it should be!

Hi all,

If that doesn't make you smile all over you need to have your pulse checked. That was such a sweet movie and this video is perfect for the holidays no matter what your faith may be. Thanks so much. I echo the comments of others by wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season.
Peace and love to all and most especially to our dear heart Doris.

Merry Christmas everyone!! Our Xmas Day in Australia has just about ended and it has been a great day!! At the beach - everyone seemed to be happy - the water was beautiful here at the Gold Coast but in other parts of the country is was snowing in the alps. We are indeed a country of contrasts.
Thanks to everyone who posted this year - I have learnt lots.
I hope Doris is having a very happy Christmas - wonder who she is having it with. I sincerely hope she is having a good time.

Xmas Doris

What Doris did you get from Santa? Santa brought me the 6 DVD box with Love Me or Leave Me, Jumbo, Calamity Jane, etc.

Image

And I bought myself a 4-disc CD called "Doris Day: Sentimental Journey" from Proper Records (UK) at the amazing price of £10.
It also had a booklet with pics I've never seen before.

Description: "109 tracks from one of the first multi media stars in U.S entertainment, the all-American girl who is an icon.
Follows her early career with Les Brown through to her huge successes with her Calamity Jane songs."

Hi @ all,

we don't have a Santa in Bavaria  in the other parts of Germany they have a Santa...we have a little angel who called "Christkindl".
Image

The Christkindl brought me the "The Magic of Doris Day Through Television" :D

I have a bad cold and I'm sitting in my bed with my dictionary and the DD Book. I love the book...it's sooo great. I nearly read the whole book...now I have to continue...
