I think we are all in 'post left/right politics' now. We have a 'left-wing government' in the UK who are really 'right wing' in policy terms - the war ON Iraq, etc, so it's really hard to be represented if you have a Doris Day attitude, i.e, loving, caring and wanting the system to help people who need it, like 'the poor', 'foreigners' etc,
I don't trust any of them these days and I express this by making fun of them occasionally/usually. I've just set up a new identity on YouTube called The Phantom Raspberry Blower (of Old London Town) (a character on Brit TV many years ago).
