My name is Jolt, I'm 24 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I have watched many Doris Day movies the past few months and I've become a big fan (of her music as well ofc). So I registered here to read and post about Doris.
About a month ago I wrote a letter to Doris and I'm hoping every day to find a response in my mailbox, but no luck until now. Are there more fans outside Northern America who can share their experiences with writing Doris?

Thanks for that link, webmaster. It's a cool radio station, but those mechanical weather forecasts sound kind of weird. Are those normal in the US?

Thank you for your kind words, Rachel and others. I've been around for eight days now and I like it here. Still no response from Doris btw, but I will keep hoping and waiting.

As for Doris responding to letters and fanmail
1. She ALWAYS responds. It may take as long as 3 or 4 month, but she DOES respond (in her own handwriting)
2. If you send a donation (check or money order) to Doris Day Animal Foundation, she tends to respond even quicker.

The best way to contact DD for a response is to email her through her Animal League Website. I did and within 2 weeks received a very nice autographed photograph from her.
Just go to www.ddaf.org and contact her through there !
