2017 Doris Day pictures
Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
More incredible photos from the AMAZING Peter! The mid-60s shots by Frank Bez, which look like publicity shots for one of her album, are mind blowing. Just gorgeous! I also love the wild pompadour hairstyle from the mid 1940s, although the look is not among my favorites, Still, these are wonderfully clear, sharp photos.
I also love the bikini shot from Melancholy. Very rare and what a figure!
Thank you so much.

The 1st Frank Bez photo I believe was used on the cover of Doris' Sentimental Journey album. The third photo of Doris in the white sweater was used on the cover if Doris' compilation album, Whatever Will Be Will Be.
They are all beautiful and fantastic photos.
Thank you so much Peter.

Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
^^^ Probably my favorite pic of her from the 1960s. This one captures her vibrant energy and that gown is one in a million, as is her stunning hourglass figure. Ray Agayan really knew how to dress her and Doris did not disappoint.
Folks - THIS is a movie star!
Thank you again, Peter.

Peter, this is a WOW photo of Doris. She wears the dress, the dress does not wear her. Doris brings exuberance, sophistication, and vibrancy to all her pictures.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Thanks Ania for the beautiful Doris photos.
The picture of Doris sitting on the steps in the sunlight with her dog is really sweet and special.

Doris looks slightly bored there!
Maybe she was just concentrating?

Thanks again Peter for sharing such interesting photos of Doris.
The Calamity Jane photo with script notes is of particular interest. It give insight into the production of the film.
Doris working with Frank looks like she is focused on the music.

Thanks Peter!

I just noticed it's the 12th Anniversary of this period of The Doris Day Forum (5 earlier years were lost when we moved here). You can see under my avatar I 'joined' on 4 Mar 2005.
Happy Birthday to us!

Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
Well said, Peter. Adding my thanks to you, Bryan.
Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
Congratulations Bryan on the anniversary of the Doris Day website birthday. You have connected so many devoted Doris Day fans. It is a joy to visit this website and read everyone's contributions. I love seeing all the Doris Day photos. Most of all it allows me to share treasured Doris Day memories about her films and songs that were so important to my family and me while growing up.
Doris Day is an extraordinary talent that has always has been under-appreciated and this forum really acknowledges her importance to us all.
Thank you Bryan for all your devoted work and to all the members who make important contributions.
I have often thought the Doris Day Forum would make a great book from her fans dedicated to Doris. A title for the book could be, Thank You Doris Day. It also could be called, To Doris With Love.

Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
Happy belated birthday all.

Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
Doris looks so charming in Tea For Two photo and looks the picture of elegance holding the rose.
I wonder if the second photo by Bob Willoughby of "Doris at home", is the The Thrill of It All movie set or Doris' home. Somehow, I think Doris has a more contemporary taste in furniture than the formal look in the photo.
Thank you Peter.

Re: 2017 Doris Day pictures
Johnny, my understanding is that pic is Doris at home- around the period between Love Come Back and Touch of Mink.
