Peter,

You continue to outdo yourself. The 1940 BW photo of Doris and the Les Brown Band is very rare. What a find!

The on-set candids from Pillow Talk are superb. You can almost feel what it must been like on that set. Maybe I am imagining this, but it seems evident that everyone on that film knew they were working on something special. And that shot of Rock with Doris in her trailer is amazing. We see again just how close they were. There was a strong bond of friendship and trust there.

Thank you again for sharing these gems!

Michael

Hi Michael,

It's always a thrill to find new Doris stuff (photo's, sites, links, music, video's) and I love to share so that more people will discover the great talent of our lady. Mostly I google Doris or look on sites such as EBAY, sometimes a radioshow, like the Bob Hope Show mentions a location. I will google then on that location and that leads to new material, Facebook or other film sites. Sometimes people who worked with Doris will lead to new material: Les Brown, Frank Sinatra, James Stewart... Old Time Radio sites will help too. I try to give every photo a little subscription so other people who are looking on the internet, will find our site and the photo's/information.

Fantastic photos Peter.

I especially like the photo of the Grumman's Chinese theater footprints and handprints. It is wonderful to see that Doris is surrounded by stellar legends Charles Laughton, Charles Boyer and Joan Crawford.

Your photo picks really brighten and warm our cold winter days,

Thank you so much Peter.

Peter,
I just love the Josie pic with the gun and that tongue again. LOL
The picture that shows both of her wedding rings is amazing - I don't think I have ever seen a picture of both of them before. Thanks for all the research you do.
Happy Holidays,
Jill

Merry Christmas to you all!!! Hope everyone has a good time!
And a healthy and happy New Year!

P

Howard,

I used Photobucket too... but it doesn't work anymore that way. The photo's I submit here are from the web. And sometimes I upload some on FB so I can use the link of the page on here. Through the image button.

Hope this will be some help to you.

Always wonderful photos of Doris, but I find the Midnight Lace photo of Doris on the staircase compelling. The expression on Doris' face is filled with silent pain. It illustrates her strength as an actress.

The 1949 photo above from "My Dream is Yours" is one of my all-time favorites. Thanks, Peter.
(By the way, that film is on TCM's schedule for Jan. 20th. Don't know whether you get TCM in the
Netherlands, though.)
