Thanks Peter for this terrific collection of interesting Doris Day photos.


The first photo of Doris and Terry is sweet. The wallpaper with hunters shooting ducks is really interesting. I would not think it would be found in a California home.

The Lucky Me backstage photo with Doris, Robert Cummings and the director shows really interesting and serious expressions on their faces. Doris looks great in her gray and peach outfit.

The Teacher's Pet photo of Doris, Clark Gable and Kay Williams is new to me.

One of my favorite photos is the Lover Come Back one. Doris is wearing a simple, classic outfit elevated by a beautiful pin.

I am enjoying the latest group of photos from Ania and Peter.

Especially, intrigued by the BW photos taken by her swimming pool in the early 1950’s. They provide a rare glimpse into her life at home when things were relatively happy and carefree.

Johnny, I think Doris looked spectacular on the Doris Day Best Friends series. She was mature, gorgeous and full of life on that show. Perhaps with the animals in the spotlight and the show being shot in her hometown, she felt completely in her element for the first time since her heyday with Rock Hudson and Jimmy Garner.

The first photo of Doris from Romance On The High Seas is one of my all time top 5 favorites. Included in the favorites are Midnight Lace photos and Doris' cover on her autobiography.

Do you have a top five favouite Doris photo list? I imagine this would be a difficult challenge.

That ROTHS photo is also one of my favorites.

Really love the costume fitting shot from The Thrill Of It All. That was another great outfit and I regret it did not make it into the film.

The Gary Collins and Doris Day photo is new to me. It is always nice to see Doris with other Hollywood celebrities to see who she socialized with.

I read that Doris was friends with Audrey Hepburn and her husband as well as Donna Reed. I have looked for photos of them together but have had no luck.
