Hi Peter,

The 1951 photo of Doris with all the garden pots is new to me. I wonder where it was taken.

I love the My Dream is Yours photos. The boy Duncan Richardson really looks like Doris and was perfect casting.

Thanks again

So many new and rate photos!

I am enthralled with the Gable / Day candid photo taken at her housewarming party. Can you imagine sipping iced tea on Doris' patio with the likes of Clark Gable? Good grief!

Thank you Peter, Howard, Ania and everyone else who posts these wonderful photos.

I love the one of Doris and Ginger Rogers together. Judging by the looks on their faces, it seems to be a mutual admiration.

Thanks everyone for all of the great photos. The pottery one is new to me, and don't you wonder how Doris kept her shoes on in the PG photo! Boy, she was good.
Hope you all have a great weekend,
Jill

Thanks again Peter for all the great photos of Doris.

Do you know when the photo of Doris and Rock was taken? It looks like it may have been around the time they filmed Send Me No Flowers. They always look so happy together.

Johnny, I'm pretty sure that photo with Rock was from a joint TV interview they did in 1983 at her home.

Thanks Musiclover!

I wondered if the photo was from the 1980's. What made me think it is an earlier period is the fact that Rock as diagnosed with the AIDS virus on June 5-1984 and died on October 2-1985.
Rock looks so healthy in this photo and there does not appear to be graying in his hair.

Regardless, Doris and Rock lol terrific together.

Hi Howard,

Thanks for these photos I have not seen before. Doris and Marty look so young and happy.

The photo of Doris with Paul Anka, Joan Fontaine, Clint Eastwood and Chevy Chase is really interesting. Doris, Clint and Joan all live in Carmel. Doris moved there around 1980. Paul has a ranch in Monterey. The photo appears to be from the 1980's. During this period Chevy Chase was making movies in Hollywood.

The inscription reads in the upper hand corner reads, "To Danny, love and kisses, Doris". I wonder if it is a reference to Danny Thomas.

Hi All,
I think that the picture with Clint, Paul etc is in the Cypress in one of the cases and that it was signed to Denny Levett, Doris's partner at the Cypress. If I remember correctly, it is for some type of pet award (good guess since Doris is involved).
Someone who is going to Carmel this year can check for us.
Have a good week,
Jill

Judy is correct. This was taken in 1983 when David Hartman taped that five part interview with Doris for Good Morning America. I agree that Rock looked great then and it's sad to know that he would be gone in less than two years. I am so grateful they got to spend some time together before he passed. That must have given Doris some measure of comfort when he died.

What a great photo this is!
