Thank you so much Ania for all these brilliant and facinating photos of Doris. There are so many I have not seen before.

I really love the "Hats off to Doris photos" taken in April 1956. They are really special.

These pictures have brightened my Sunday.

Michael emailed me about it but I'd already noticed it. Can anyone else see it?

Thank you Ania for all these wonderful Doris photos. I especially love the photo of Doris with Mary Tyler Moore. I had not seen the photo of Mary and Doris with the lion cub. Fantastic!

Thank you Ania for all the great photos of Doris giving actor Michael North a tour of New York City.

These photos are so impressive and are all new to me. The time period appears to be around 1947 or 1948. These pictures appear to be publicity photos.

I was trying to figure out the connection between Doris and Michael North. When I checked out his bio, it stated that he made the 1947 film noir The Unsuspected which was a Michael Curtis production. Michael Curtis followed this film with the making of Doris' first film, Romance On The High Seas. The Unsuspected was Michael North's last film. He was also known as Ted North.

It is clear to see Doris' love of bicycling, skating and the outdoors in these early photos.

Thanks again Ania for these very special photos.

Thanks Peter for all these interesting photos. There are so many charming aspects in them.

I am really amused by the Swan campaign photos with Doris and Bob Hope. Everyone look a little nervous and the swan doesn't look too happy either.

The photo of Doris with the Cincinnati fire department is wonderful. Doris is standing with her hand confidently placed on her hips.

I am fascinated by the 1955 photo page. The top right photo is Doris laughing with June Alyson and Dick Powell. Doris looks sensational in the bikini photo. The bottom photo looks like Doris is fishing with Donna Reid.

I can't figure out who the woman is in the white hat. She looks a little like Janis Paige.

The photo of Marty carring Doris on his back on the Caprice set in 1967 is a year before his death in April 1968. Really interesting!

Many of these pictures are new to me.

Thanks again Peter. Your photos always pleasantly surprise me .

Oh my, what a treasure trove of pictures- thanks to all for sharing. Where to start? I love them all, but special mention for the ones with Doris Marty and Terry on location for Calamity, the ones with Danny Thomas, the GBB ones, the ones of Doris and Marty at the ball game - she looks amazing, is that a young Micky Mantle ? :D :D :D

Yes, that's Mickey Mantle in one of those 3 baseball photos. I'm certain they were taken at Yankee stadium, as the plaque on the box seat in front of Mel Allen shows it as belonging to Mrs. E. G. Barrow, widow of longtime Yankee general manager Ed Barrow. My guess is that the Melchers attended that ball game while they were in New York in June just prior to the start of filming "Young at Heart."
