I'm speechless about the latest round of photos from you. How you find so many rare gems is beyond me, for example, the BW photos of Jimmy Stewart playing the piano on TMWKTM set. They are so special. I also appreciate how you credit the original photographer whenever possible.

The color photos that Variety published recently are superb. Love all of them.

I agree Johnny. These photos reminded me that Virginia Mayo was bowled over by Doris's boundless energy. She once referred to her (fondly) as Sparkle Plenty.

Well done to Peter for getting there first! We know Doris went to London and Marrakesh, Morocco. for location filming on The Man Who Knew Too Much in 1955 so I imagine the boat photo above and the ones in Paris and Cannes must have been taken on the same trip.

So the photo caption should say 'A boat ride in Spain (if it is Spain) in the mid-1950s',

The photo of Doris with Emil Gilels leads me to wonder who the other 2 men were with them. Gilels was a Russian-born pianist who began a series of tours to different countries in the mid-1950s. On every tour he was accompanied by KGB agents. If you would like to watch a few minutes of one of his solo concerts, take a look on youtube for Gilels playing Mozart's piano sonata #8. It's quite impressive.
