This was my very first Doris movie, and just today I found the tape in my basement and decided my mother and my friend and I should watch it. :P I think this movie is so cute, and I love her with the boys, the little comebacks are perfect. :)

And thanks for sharing all those pictures! :D

I really love this movie. Doris made such a great mother. Isn't it wonderful that she didn't feel her career would be threatened to play a mother ? She did it with ease - its so enjoyable to watch her with all the boys. I love to watch her with the baby - they really connect in all their scenes together. And, she and Niven are really quite good together. One of my favorite Doris movies !

She was a complete natural in this one !! (ok - she always is !)

I'm stuck on this movie. Just a few pictures of Doris and David. They were a good pair.

I LOVE this movie... well all of them with Doris in them... I LOVE all of her movies. She looked so natural with the kids... You can tell her real son, Terry, was a lot like her. I was watching her biography on the BIO channel and Terry was talking on it... the biography was a few years old... and he seemed to be as kind and understanding as his mother. At the end of the biography they said Terry had died in 2004 from skin cancer... Getting off subject a little, I wonder what Doris does with all her time, no son or anything, she probably really busy with her animals and all though....

Back to Subject...

LOVE THE MOVIE!!!

Re: "Wonder what Doris does with all her time?" Babe, just think about how quickly your day goes and imaging you are Doris Day and - apart from your 'day job' as founder of the Doris Day Animal League, - you are still getting awards, requests for interviews, sack loads of mail, etc, etc. And she still keeps in touch with a great many people by phone and letter.
In fact, if she didn't have staff to help her she wouldn't have time to eat probably!

That's very true... I guess I never thought of it like that... thanks for your imput... but yes I wish we could get to see some like WAY recent pics of Doris... I mean... has anyone really seen her in the last couple of years??? I was like sooo disapointed she didn't go to the grammy's... but like we just concluded, she is a VERY busy woman... My dad is CONVINCED Doris Day is in a wheel chair... he makes fun of her cause he knows I'm like a HUGE fan... I just say...

SHUT UP DAD... DORIS DAY IS NOT IN A WHEEL CHAIR... AND SHE'S NOT OLD.. 83 IS NOT THAT OLD...

Then I go into a whole... when I'm famous and I meet Doris Day.. you'll be sorry

It's funny... the things me and my dad fight about... lol

Friday Movie Review - Please Don't Eat the Daisies

"Happy April, everykitty! Since it is now officially spring, this month's movie review theme will be movies that make a kitty think of springtime! Our first film for the month of April is "Please Don't Eat the Daisies." This movie is a classic, and stars Doris Day and David Niven. (My mommy went through a "Doris Day" phase, so we have lots of her movies at home!)"

Gotta *love* this movie - I rated it excellent. One of the first Doris movies I've seen.
I adore her with the 4 boys (boy what a nightmare that must be having four sons that age :D ) - and gotta LOVE Hobo - imagine having a dog you have to carry in and out of elevators *lol*
I also love her with David Niven - one of my favorites too.
Absolutely CUTE movie!! LOVE it!!!

I rented this movie from netflix, but you can see it free on youtube, in 12 parts.
I didn't like the movie as much as most of you, but Doris was great as usual. My favorite part was the very beginning, and the dog was adorable!

I think this is a film of Doris' that I don't give enough credit to sometimes. She was wonderfully understated; at the top of her game here; looked brilliant, everything works! Oh, and I'd LOVE that house [once she finished decorating it]!

I just found the whole movie on YouTube:

This is Part 1 - you can find the rest here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yb_7uUtGO4
Although I doubt if many of us haven't got it or seen it a dozen times!
