I just got an Amazon alert the other day and keep wondering if anyone knows more about it?
Looks like its due 1.November ....

I'm totally no expert on Doris books so if its already out in a different version or something I'm sorry - I have no clue ... just thought an illustrated Bio could be nice (only if its any good of course)

I think it could be a new version of Michel Freedlands book from 2000. Same title, same writer, just a different cover.

Annyone more information?

Yes, this is the Michel Freedlands book with a different cover - presumably for the non-English speaking market as the publisher is named as Andre Deutsch Ltd: http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2000/ap ... obituaries

Don't get me wrong, I love June Allyson, however, I was watching the film 'The Opposite Sex' last night night [made I beleive in the late 1950s at MGM]. However, all I could think of was how badly the cast had been dressed. I missed the title, wonder if Helen Rose was responsible? Was thinking all the time of Doris' amazing clothes at this time and how stylish she was, compared to this cast, Joan Collins et al!
