megan you seem to be quite cool and confident talking to doris - i would never be like that i would literally faint or cry and get emotional - it just wouldn't seem real.
i will be staying up to listen to the birthday broadcast - i stay up till 2AM - 3AM anyway
in fact it's 3am the now.

We don't get to exactly talk to Doris. We just call in and give her our birthday wishes, so we don't get to talk directly to her. But she does hear us. And I'm not cool and confident. I was sooo nervous last year. I even wrote out what I was going to say ahead of time so I wouldn't screw anything up. But, it was still the greatest day of my life!

You should really call this year. I did, an even though you feel terrified it's great once you know you've done it.
It's so much fun to listen to everybody too! As Megan said, if you write it out first your good to go.

I remember last year I had to download a little programme, but I can't find any information yet on the station's website?

They didn't post the link until the day of last year. So, I'd say we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out for sure.

At any rate, I'm SO looking forward to tomorrow...I'm taking the entire day off, and it will be Doris Day day at my house! Also, looking forward to hearing many of you all on the broadcast. This is just so great that the radio station is giving us this gift. We all need to thank them profusely.

Magic 63 is thankfully enough streaming their all day radio broadcast in the honour of Doris Day again worldwide via the Internet.

Appearently they have changed procedures and it is not necessary to download a specific software anymore.

On http://www.magic63.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (with a new beautiful dorissy intro page) they give the following link to click on:

Clicking on this leads at least me automatically to my Windows Media Player, though naturally at this time I cannot here a thing.

I haven't found information on the broadcasting hours yet (can't even remain on the normal Magic63-pages if I don't use the stop-button), but I assume it will be from

9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m Carmel time like last year.

This would be 6:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. German time.

If anybody has other information please let us know.

Also it would be great if anybody, who hears any broadcasting under above link could shortly post it here, so that everybody can check if it works for them as well. Last year I think they started the broadcast a little earlier than 09:00 a.m. if I remember correctly?

Is anyone having any success connecting to the broadcast ?
I go directly to windows media player and get an error message.
If anyone can give me any help I'd appreciate it !!

I get directly to the Media Player, but is just doesn't start. No error mesage.

I assume they didn't start streaming yet.

I go directly to windows media player and it tells me the web address is not correct.

We just called the radio station and they said they don't start until 9am their time - which would
be 11am my time. That may be the issue - but the man we spoke with said they will definitely
check it out and have their IT guy look at it. He's not in yet - but when he arrives they will
check it out. It may be that the program hasn't begun yet. I hope thats it !!

So - I guess I'll hang on for another hour and try it again.
Possibly I'm too anxious -- I want to hear the program ! lol !!
