New Radio interview to air on 10/30/10

I've been told that Doris has recorded a one-hour interview with Jonathan Schwartz, a dj on WNYC-FM radio, New York. The program is scheduled to air (I was told it would be on-line - wnyc.org) from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Pacific Standard time ... Noon - 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. I guess the interview will be broken up into segments. The show will air again on Sunday (same time, I assume) on Sirius XM's "Siriusly Sinatra" program. Sounds good!

Awesome news! Howard, thanks for making my Day. Hope this is accurate and it is a worthwhile interview. It feels like forever since we've had a formal interview with our goddess.

This is very exciting! Even though I am not a fan of Jonathan Schwartz it still will be great getting to hear Doris.

Oh it's true all right! Doris announced it one her new website. Doesn't she sound great? Such a sweet voice and a lyrical quality to it. I can't wait for the interview to be broadcast. About a half way mark to her birthday broadcast for us starved Doris fans.

The interview will be broadcast simultaneously on WNYC in New York and the "Siriusly Sinatra" channel on Sirius Satellite Radio. WNYC offers online streaming of all its programming.

I listened briefly today to Jonathan Schwartz's program "Siriusly Sinatra". After a few musical selections, he said, "Here's Doris Day" and then he played her recording of "You My Love". He proceeded to mention this coming Sunday's chat with Doris. He said, "She called me up! Apparently she listens to this show and likes it and she asked me if I would like to chat with her." Then he said the interview is already recorded and will play at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. He said she had lots of good stories to tell.

Doris seems to be coming out of her shell lately, at least verbally, what with the new website on which she has recorded messages and now initiating a chat with a prominent DJ on satellite radio.

I got an e-mail that it would be aired October 31st?

1:30 ET - Is that 7:30 p.m. here?

I think it will be next Sunday at 5.30 p.m.

I'm sure it is this weekend. It can't be next Sunday at 5:30 because Nancy for Frank is on every Sunday at 5pm to 8pm on Sirius.

Marion, I think on October 31st we'll be only 5 hours before NY time - because our winter time again - America's winter time begins on November 7th.
You can check the time on the site WNYC that day on the right side "listen now" box, there you can see our time in scedule. Now it is 6 hours before NY time.

Doris' website says, it will be on both Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. EST which I was counting on because Sunday will be tough.

If you could go to http://www.wnyc.org/shows/jonathan-schwartz/about/ website and then on the side to the right it will say FM 93.9. Next, click LISTEN NOW and it should begin playing. A little seperate box will pop up and it will begin to play. I hope I helped.

I just went to http://www.wnyc.com and on the right side is "What's On".

Click on the "Listen Now" arrow just below Schwartz's picture. Guess it's on today and tomorrow!!
