Hi -

I called the station at (831) 649-0969. As of today (March 16), they don't know whether or not they are going to do a tribute show and suggested I call back in two weeks when they may have decided. In light of the planning it takes to do such a show, I think it was a nice way of giving me the "brush-off". I don't think their new format and the people in charge now want to continue doing what has been a very special tribute that has garnered them huge ratings and widespread interest. Perhaps if enough people called, they might make a decision to do something.

The Birthday Celebration will last from 4/3 thru the end of April. It is a month-long birthday celebration, and it may take you all that long to listen to some of the special podcasts we have in store for DD fans!!!
It's truly a double-dose of DD because our "usual" pages will also be open and full of DD surprises. ENJOY...and celebrate this special lady with us!

I see that Ed Dickinson (Mr. Nostalgia) still hosts the oldies show "Way Back Now" on the weekends. This could be a good sign since Doris' Birthday falls on a Sunday this year. If I recall, it was Ed that spoke with Doris on the air last year and the year before. Maybe this is a good sign.

with the passing of elizabeth taylor, we are very fortunate to have Doris still with us, one of the last of the great hollywood legends, here's to many more Doris! we are happy that you are happy to be content to be out of the hollywood limelight and recognition, but just know you are loved for just being you, your hollywood legacy and talents and all your animal advocacy.
